BIRMINGHAM, Alabama - UAB is making commitments to make the football program better. Head coach Bill Clark said that the program has secured funds to build a locker room for the players beside the football office and install turf on one of the two practice fields that the team uses. The school hasn't made an official announcement, but Clark confirmed that the turf and locker room were coming. "They need to see those things we talked about in that first press conference," Clark said. "Turf and locker room are two things that are guaranteed." The turf will be installed after spring and will be installed on the smaller of the two practice fields. The larger field has a track around it. When there is bad weather, the team has to go practice at Legion Field. ( Full Article)
