Despite their best efforts Troy wins 24-21. Embarrassing performance.

Even with the win, we can't put a good foot forward on week night games.

I think some of you are missing that Troy had to beat *17* people on the field tonight.

Hands grabbed on outside of shoulder pads is holding. Those were actually the most bogus calls of the night. Even the announcers were calling that crap out.

I agree with you on most of the "holding calls" and the gifted TD call but the targeting and excessive celebration penalties were unacceptable.

Three or four years ago that’s not even called a late hit. He didn’t led with head or shoulders. Officials were garbage tonight. A win is a win.

Idaho celebrated every bit as much as Troy with no flags.

I will say... what was #91 Kelvin Lucky thinking when he made that bow-and-arrow motion after his sack??
I know he's a young kid and all, but come on man. You've got to be smarter than that.

Our lack of disciplineand character right now is embarrassing. No coaches in their grill either. Brown needs to get control of this team. Just left the game. Theres a whole lotta stupid going on with our team now I've got to be at work in just over 5 hours and this sloppy undisciplined play has made me sick! can’t disagree with these assessments. Offensive game planning and play calling just sucks. CNB should give VK some of his salary, he has saved his a$$ all year. It’s a shame with all the offensive talent that we struggle so much on that side of the ball.

I'm about to say something that is going to pi$$ a bunch of you off. Here goes... This is an offense built by Larry Blakeney and Brown is running it wrong. Or not running it if you will.

Agree, its been like Mark Fleetwood was back almost all season. We have continued to look unprepared with the worst play calling all season. For all of the talent on this offense it is agonizing to watch us struggle to move the ball down the field and score.

Our offense is a joke and we are in serious trouble next season. I have never been a fan of Silvers because I just don't think he's a passer. We run the ball very effectively but we are losing both Chun and Anderson next year and Henderson by all accounts has head problems. We have not been the same offensive team since mid season last year. We have serious trouble throwing the ball down field. We are an air raid offense that's barely throwing for 200 yards a game and we're averaging 6 yards a completion

You people kill me. If someone gave you $1,000,000. I believe you would complain if the bills weren’t turned the right direction.
This program was in the crapper, 6-6 was our best record for 4 seasons, fans had bailed out (some of you) and there was little interest in this program. In comes CNB and his staff, 4-8 the first year with noticeable improvement, 10-3 last season and people are talking about Troy nationwide. Now here we are at 7-2, looking at the schedule (before the season started) you’re lying if you say we would be better than 8-1, 7-2 at this point. Was last night ugly, yes. Do we need to win with “style points” if we want national recognition, yes. Good gosh people, enjoy the moment. Again, 7-2, guaranteed post season play, regardless of the location or opponent. These are all great things. Save some of your anger for basketball. You all know you’ll need it.

So, if you were the coach, had an air-raid offense, but you had Chunn ( 2nd all-time behind Dewitt ) & Anderson, you wouldn't run the ball? I'm the first to complain about not airing the ball out,but I, at least, understand the why...

The stadium looks empty... It's definitely empty. [Editing to say I just took this photo at 11 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.] Where is the famed widespread Troy area local support at? Shame the larger local community does not fully support the gift that is Troy University. Thanks to the small local group that does support.

My wife and I were there, left our kids at home because it was so late. We gave our other two tickets to friends so they would be used. Not everyone can get a baby sitter. CHHS playing on the road did not help the situation at all. All the high schools are in their final week of football prep, either the last game or playing in the playoffs tonight. What's more important to them, college game or game prep? Troy has roughly 20,000 people who live in this town, half of them care nothing about any football. The other half were there or could not pull off the late kick. I thought it was a good crowd all things considered.

This thread should have a weekly spot on Comedy Central. I don’t know if it’s cluelessness or ignorance but it’s contagious in this thread.
For you Silvers haters watch the highlights at 2:00 minutes. That’s a NFL level pass completion placed in the perfect spot. Guess what even Tom Brady makes mistakes, misses reads, throws interceptions, and fumbles.
As for you keyboard play callers, well nothing has changed there.

I'm about to say something that is going to pi$$ a bunch of you off. Here goes... This is an offense built by Larry Blakeney and Brown is running it wrong. Or not running it if you will. Dude... this isn't a "Larry Blakeney" offense, or a "Mark Fleetwood" offense like another poster said. The playcalling really isn't bad by Coach Brown. It seems like it's bad because we have some players that aren't doing what they should be doing. We've got some WR's that aren't making catches that they should make, and they're also not blocking properly on the perimeter. So of course, when we run a screen play for only 1 or 2 yards, it's going to look like a bad play call when it's actually some guys not doing their job that's causing the issues. Last season, those same plays were going for 8 to 10 yards each time. We've got a QB that isn't playing consistent like he was last season also. If we try a deep pass that get's overthrown, it's going to seem like a bad play. Did some of you not see the fake screen pass for a TD last night that got us up 17-7? That was a GREAT play call. Or the decision to go for it on 4th & 1 so we could have a 10 point lead on Idaho? If Brown wouldn't have done that, we would've lost the game most likely. I feel like some of you really don't remember just how bad and predictable the offense used to be compared to now. Either that or you're just being really dramatic about this whole thing.

Like I said the local community has a small group of supporters but overall the local community does not care/support. That is sad. Some of what you mentioned would be considered as excuses to justify the lack of support. But whatever, let’s just not keep claiming the local community is “all in” for Troy.
