Don't know anything about AL ST. But Coach Slater's teams have been really strong for the last decade or so. We don't see as much about them because, I believe, they still don't enter the I-AA playoffs ... they play the end of year bowl games for HBCU teams. I know if we don't play better than we did Sat. ... this coming Sat could be long day. Remember, last year against A. Peah or Pea or Pee ... or what ever it is ... it was tight the most of first half. I think after NB gets done with them, we'll see a different team this week. Go Trojans! Well I would hope so against this pathetic team. This will be a confidence builder game nothing else we won't prove if anything is fixed against tough competition

It looked like the years when Edenfield was the OC......oh, wait..... Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Neal Brown say when he took the job that " he would be calling the plays". We have two co-oc in Eddenfield and Moore but my understanding is NB calls the plays

We saw Barker but not Sawyer? Sawyer has proven he's better than Barker throwing the ball. Are we trying red shirt him? I believe it was a the case of Barker beating Smith out in Spring/Fall. Barker always had the speed ... he improved his passing as well. I would've liked to have seen him get a few series Saturday. Sure wouldn't have hurt. I've heard Smith may be redshirted!

I still think this was less play calling and more a lack of on field leadership and execution.

this is third party information - i was told Silvers broke his ring and pinky finger on his throwing hand two weeks ago - maybe that is the problem - whatever it is - as he goes the O goes - hope it gets corrected
Sour taste in my mouth is we are as good as Boise - we play a little better yesterday and we win
Positive - this is still a good team and with improvement - should and can still be a great year
Go Trojans! Cry Havoc

Cry Havoc I am accused of being toooooooo positive at times but heck it's football and I think it will be afford year too. We in this area did not have Harvey and we were relatively injury free, and we are not University of Texas and their debut and while our O was less than great our D was pretty good...the truth is we have a loss on our record and if's we're fishes we would all be eating Tuna. We are going to be ok...the next few weeks will set the tone we will be singing come late November. God Bless America and while I will not be there next week cheer like heck and become 1-1 and then the next one and repeat the scenario over and over.

Well I have had a broken pinky and if this is true that explains 12's uninspired attitude. That $/&@ hurts! And throwing a football is affected.
IMO he needs a full rest week. Hes our backbone and is not needed to route Bama State.

Just curious - Why did Chunn not get the ball much in the first half? It seems like they were giving the ball to the Memphis transfer. I finally heard Thompson's name in the second half. It is almost like they forgot who brought them to 10 wins last year.

It is almost like they forgot who brought them to 10 wins last year. We have Chunn and Anderson that are excellent between the tackles as well as Henderson and Frye who can hit the corners with speed. I'm not the coach, but with 4 awesome backs like this, you can spread the work load and avoid end of the season fatigue. Heck with these running backs, I would dust off the 1984 and 1987 playbook and crush folks with the wishbone.

That would excite us to see Troy in the Bone even for a couple of plays
