If we are a 16 seed, I hope we are the first in history to pull off the upset.

If we are a 16 seed, I hope we are the first in history to pull off the upset. I do too but it's unlikely. If we are a 16, I'd rather be one of the 16s in the First 4 so we have a chance to win a game

When Troy has a decent offense, they're a match-up problem for a lot of teams. What was more impressive on the day was that they out defended arguably the best defensive team in the Belt today. There a lot of superlatives to note from the team's tourney run.

A lot of Troy "fans" on this board are so disappointed by the win today. Doesn't fit their narrative.

I like that we are playing Duke. When they came to Troy to play us in football, they got cool points in my book. I hope we win. When will we know the game time? I might have to sneak out of work to watch it.

I don't know who could be disappointed! Awesome to be in the conversation, even if only for a brief while. Great for the program and our university. I'm not a huge basketball fan but you know I'll be watching Friday night! Go Trojans!

PC quoted a book he'd read that stated building a program from the ground up would yield wins last. He said in the pregame interview that the fans and players would have liked an instant turnaround. He then stated that no one wanted that more than the coaches.
All the work of building a program and it's players has been accomplished...now the wins are coming. Something we can all be proud of...

I have been very quite about basketball and Coach for one reason......the man knows basketball. He is a good coach. Congratulations to the players. They have fought through adversity and come out winners. I could stomach the constant gripping by some on here better if they were quick to admit when they were wrong. So I have waited for this day because I believed it would come and I believed it would come with this staff in place. So proud for the team and staff. Here's hoping the boys start hot from downtown and stay that way all game. Go Trojans!

I was one who wanted Cunningham gone... if this turned out to be another losing season. But he turned it around during the last 8 games of the regular season. The February 11 game against ULL and everything after that looked like a completely different Troy team. I'm proud of Cunningham, the staff, and the players. Can't wait to see what he can do with the team next season considering the amount of players coming back. And like I said many threads ago, I will gladly eat crow since Cunningham turned the corner with this team.

A lot of Troy "fans" on this board are so disappointed by the win today. Doesn't fit their narrative. Point of order. Mr. Ho's narrative is TMTDM dominating, not wallering around in mediocrity. The thought of Mr. Ho wanting TMTDM losing is almost unimaginable. One month ago, this team was dead in the water during the final season of PC's contract. He has them hitting on all cylinders at the right time, but it's taken just a tad while to do it. He's recruited two great players and should be given deserved credit, but if you thought in February this program was in a good place, take off your rose colored glasses. The Arena is so empty during TMTDM games it resembles a practice. With that said, PC has won a conference tournament and should be rewarded with a modest extension. His two biggest players are returning. But something needs to be done about filling that Arena.
