What is the area under the board? Walkway? Concessions? More seats?

Concessions and such, me thinks Seems the original plan was for that area to be VIP space during football games and gathering/entertaining area otherwise. Just can't recall which version of plans we decided to build.

The 400 or so seats being added are club seats, like the stadium club, but with premium concessions and beverages. Given that all of the area except that right under the score board is flat and will be a party deck, I suspect the area under the scoreboard will be the club. I'm just speculating, but it makes sense to me.

Perspective question. Was Ark States video board about the size or new one will be? It was good size!

Looks so big it will blind the players! 😀 Want a real perspective of how BIG it is. Check this out from Troy Athletics; The Cardinal color is the actual scoreboard, the black box is the size of the current board.

Sorry, the attachment didn’t move with the quote. On page 5 of this thread is a picture with the current scoreboard juxtaposed on the new one. That gives a good idea how big it will be.

I guess there is some audio technology that will allow huge speakers placed 10-20 feet above your head to somehow not blow you out of your seat but still be loud at the other end of the stadium.

Sound waves are like water waves so the dissipation is approximately the same....There will be no seats right in front of speakers till the other end of stadium and then it will be essentially lower than the speakers. so just draw a line from the speakers out with enlarging concentric circles and that will be the distribution. So the folks closest to the speakers will probably not hear quite as well as those sitting around the 20 yard line from the North end zone.

All I know is I’m practically deaf and hoarse when sitting next to the band below the current board due to loudness and trying to talk over it. I don’t want to sit in front of it or the new one if it’s the same.

We have the SOS, we don't need to pipe in additional music during the game. It never fails, the PA music is playing at the same time as SOS, and whoever is controlling the PA tries to make sure that's heard OVER the band. It's actually painful at times.

[br Could be wrong but I think the speakers will have a greater elevation and thus not blast people as the present speakers...howver so they are still run by those who may still not coordinate with SOS.

I went and saw it this weekend as well and the brick is definitely looking good. His was also my first time visiting now that the stadium is bowled in and the stadium definitely has a much different feel. I can’t wait for the Boise State game next season with a packed stadium and the new end zone facility open. It’s gonna be a great atmosphere!

Love the way this going to look. Curious why we don’t do more with end zone paint scheme. Anyone know? Some cardinal or a pattern or even the T painted on either side of TROJANS would look better than what we’ve got now.

They don't use paint. Those are the individual blades of grass in the field turf colored white. If they add something to the field it's a water-based solution. They can scrub it off rather easy. Listen to Ho he know.
