Let's look at a couple of points from your post. Silvers had an NCAA record for freshman completion %...70.5 iirc...With that he only threw for 1800 yds. Troy QBs generally throw for double that...hopefully his production is better with the coaching changes. That's the only way he gets any farther into the record books. There's no guarantee Silvers will be that guy, but I'll cheer for him to be. As troystet mentioned, of the four remaining, 3 are gone after the season. A midterm guy is a must, I agree, but how often does a P5 QB fall into your lap? Not crying in the breast milk, but, from a fan's perspective, there's some concern about depth at the position. First, agree after this year we have depth concerns at QB. Believe Evil will have plan to address. See above, will be some bumps. His time at TT and Kentucky has afforded some name recognition as a guy that will put a QB on the map for stats and development. I think he has some feelers out on some career Power 5 backup guys looking for a final shot and that he has come across from his travels. Yes, your stats on Silvers are correct BUT considering the teaching, coaching and play calling he got last year to what he will get this year will be huge, big huge. I expect, as does CNB, to have Silvers light it up this year. Silvers is a guy that committed to Troy University first, the previous staff second. He loves the school, he has the desire. I think CNB sees this and just needs to polish him up. He was a three star guy in a lot of recruiters assessment. I am hopeful he takes us back to a bowl.

I find it interesting that you attempt to speak for coach Brown as to what he expects. Pay close attention or have your friends pay attention if any of you attend the Trojan Tour.

Dang. Dudes left. It's really just that simple. Ours is not to reason why. As I've said here before, a current player told me during Spring Training that there'd be more departures. Those who were on CNB's "List" knew it and knew full well what to do to get off of it. Does being on said "List" have anything to do with these two? I have absolutely no idea whatsoever. Maybe he saw the writing on the wall and wanted to play. Maybe he's not fully planted in reality. For me, my athletic ceiling was pretty low. That was a painful life lesson. I put in the extra effort. All you could imagine. But once it became clear that my continued participation could keep someone else out of the loop, I bowed out. Maybe they haven't fully grasped this conceptually and choose to go play at Mississippi Valley State or whatever other lesser school you'd care to mention. I don't know. Good luck to them in whatever they do with the rest of their lives.
And as a fan, trying to really glean anything useful during an annual Spring Game is an absolutely fruitless endeavor. It's a glorified practice. It's a show put on to entertain you and to help the Coaches determine Roster slots. Enjoy it for what it is. If "Player A" doesn't impress you during T Day, don't fret over it. He's not supposed to.

Okay, so we should cease all conversations because one or two don't like the topics? I do certainly respect your position on it, but it just happened to be one of many things that caught my fancy. At this particular time, it is not my intention to offend, I assure you.

And I assure you, y'all will have to try a great deal harder to offend me. This is the drivel season, ain't nothing happening so virtually any topic is fair game in my opinion. Those were just my thoughts on this particular topic.

THIS information makes me wonder... No. The kid had a 31 ACT and was on the Millenium scholarship. Either #1 he thought he woukd start. #2 he didn't like it here #3 he didn't mesh with the coaches #4 he was overrated whatever the reason he isn't going Juco because of grades and he won't be back

Ding ding. Finally. Back to my original post: It is not a loss. In the overall, grand scheme of things, no, it's not a loss because he came in the off-season and left the same way...I'm kind of curious as to the why. How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Tootsie pop? The world may never know...What's done is done and can't be undone...very interested to see if they bring in another QB by fall camp.

They actually figured out the Toostie pop question, some students at Harvard or something. Do they even sell those anymore ?
