A new rib and steak restaurant is opening in the old Pines building down town. Hopefully next month.

I'll be glad to see a new restaurant come in and I don't care where it is. Hopefully Big EE won't run off the next tenant. A rib and steak place will be a welcome change from the plethora of chicken places.

Sweet rack rib shack is what's opening. Super excited. Owner went to Troy, opened his first SRRS in Tallahassee where I grew up. Glad they're coming back home. Great food.

Yes, this place has a great reputation and it will be nice for the downtown Troy Square to have another business. Looking forward to breaking bread in the Sweet Rack Rib Shack!
Go TROY!

Looking forward to it as well. My daughter works part time (except game days) at Milky Moos. She works Sunday's so stop and say hi to her. Her dad really misses her being so far away but so glad she is at Troy.

The owner of Sweet Rack must have some relationship with the lady on the corner. His vehicle is there often. Whatever. Look forward to its opening.
We go to Milky Moo's often. I speak to all of them when I'm there. Who specifically am I supposed to say "hi" to?

Sweet rack will definitely give the other bbq places a run for their money. The owner is from Troy and will have a great place to eat. Miss them in Tallahassee but can't wait to come home and have dinner at Sweet Rack Rib Shack!

Thanks. It's hard sometimes having her so far away. She only gets to come home about once a semester.

Ricky from Hooks is selling to a new investor and getting out of the business. Sweet Rack has an opportunity to win over lots of folks. Hooks is still the best, but Sweet Rack gives folks options.

I don't know how Country's stays in business. The last time I ate there it was horrible and vowed to not go back. Ate the last few games with my daughter at half shell and was very pleased with the food and the cost, anxious to try the new bbq place.

My wife and I went to Hook's yesterday (Sunday) after church and it was slammed. The line curved around the tables to the door. So yeah, this town definitely needs another barbecue place. I miss Jackie B's! Country's went downhill fast and finally closed. There is the Bar-B-Q House up 231 that I have heard is pretty good, but I think they are closed on Sundays.
