Keyboard coaches and AD's are always vocal following a loss. It's the nature of the beast. I'm sure the traffic on most team's message boards spike after a loss. People need to vent and sometimes feel the need to be heard. Anyone that seriously thinks they no more about what's right for this team, whether it be player, staff, playcalling, or any other aspect of the program is just plain delusional. Its Neal's career and livelihood, that he uses to provide for his family, at stake. I'm very confident that he's made every decision to this point in hopes of winning as many games as possible. Well put!

I'm not sure we have appreciated how good our offensive and defensive lines were last year. I'm afraid we are going to see that appreciation grow over the course of this season. I posted the above yesterday during the game in the game thread. Buddy is right in that we lost three leaders on the O line. That doesn't mean we don't have leaders there this year. After all, we aren't starting 5 true freshmen on the O line. It does likely mean, however, that the leadership on this year's team hasn't been completely identified yet and will have to step up and accept that responsibility as the season progresses. There are some big shoes to fill there and I suspect that, as I said yesterday, our appreciation for what we had last year will only grow throughout the season. It always seems to work that way, we don't know what we have until it's gone. Nailed it!

Everyone knows who I am, and everyone knows over the past 5 years, even though I read the message boards, very seldom did I ever post. Well, now that mine has graduated (thank you Troy U) and moved on, I feel open to post my opinion of what I saw yesterday. As Ty and I watched the game together, there were a few things that jumped out to me. Here they are... 1. The offense was never really on the field long enough to ever get in a rhythm. A lot of this was due to the o'line not giving the qb the time he was used to having from the past couple years. Ill touch on that in a second. I know CNB started going to the much hated "bubble screen", but I believe he was trying to get some completions to give the qb a little confidence to build on. Only problem, as usual, it didnt work. And yes, I also hate the bubble screen. 2. The o'line is lacking a couple things they've had in the past... A. Leadership. Yes 1 of those 3 linemen were mine, but I was privy to A lot of the "leadership situations" that he, Fields, and Garcia brought to the table. B. Communication. There seemed to be a lot of confusion on the blocking calls C. There were 4 out 5 lineman playing out of there normal positions, hence the penalties. I do think Coach Moore will handle this. 3. Everyone who was calling for the qb to be pulled early, come on, give me a break. Where were yall last year? Read the above. Could missing the Spring have bothered his timing? Could have, but I doubt it. Not with as many throws he makes everyday with and without pressure. He will be fine. 5. The recieving corps did look a touch off on routes, but I think this goes back to the timing and that goes back to starting with communication and the afor mentioned issues up front. Again, this will be fixed. 6. Backs needed to be fed more. Period. But there were a few times the blocking scheme didn't seem to match the play called. 7. Play calling. Hmmm...ok, all I'll say is it's damn easy sitting in a chair with a beverage, saying to run this or that, and looking at the replays vs. being on the field, heat of battle, split second decision. Yeah, I can see where they are equal. NOT. Not that I agree with every call, but hey, CNB is the 1 to live with the result and the criticism as we go on about our week. I cut him slack. BTW, do we really think he was gonna open the whole play book? 8. The Defense did show up big at times, making critical plays. Again, there were some position shuffling as well up front and at lb. It looked like some communication issues there as well. But as i said before, they will be ok. Vic will be on this. Again, these are my opinions. I feel we will be ok. Yes, I think there will be some position changes. Yes, I feel the coaches have a grasp on what went wrong and will handle it accordingly. So I welcome any civil conversation and other opinions. GO TROY!!!!!

All I can say is that looking at the talent signed, along with the jucos signed, everyone better hold on! It's gonna be a fun ride! Everyone is talking about what's signing vs. What we're loosing. And where we're signing them out of. It don't matter where they come from as long as they can do the jo they are recruited for. On this I trust the coaches for picking the best talent for the needs of this team. Need to look at some things no one is thinking about... First of all, only loosing 3 of offense, all on the o'line. Everyone has forgot about Johnathan Boring. He is back. Probably power tackle on right side . offensively, we only need to worry about 2 positions. Defensively, we loose 5, including uvakious, I know the spelling sux, forgive me bud, but look what we had at the 2s. Come on, yeah Kool-aid is brewing, but after today, it's brewing with a hint of some fire and a little moonshine mixer!

I feel this cover shows the way this team is there for each other. An o'line man, (yeah, I'm partial), congratulating a score with his teammates! Gotta love what CNB has done for this team!

How awsome is it for us to be 9-4, after predictions were 6-6 , middle sunbelt. Finish 2nd in confidence

Thanks so much!! As a former Troy O'lineman ... I know it's the improvement of the Oline that has fueled this turnaround! Coach Brown, the whole offensive staff .. and especially Coach Moore ... have done a great job! Tyler and Garcia have provided great leadership and consistent play!! I don't think people understand just how hard it is to play tackle in the modern game! They've had a great year ... glad they've gotten to finish with a successful season. I also agree that we have a very bright future! The young guys coming along are very talented ... and with good coaching and better talent surrounding them ... the it's a great time to be a Trojan! I say thank you to Tyler and the whole family for your contribution to Troy!! Thanks doc71, but all thanks go to Ty and Tony. They, along with Exavier Fields have been the leadership that has led the way for this team on offense this year. Thanks for your everending support. #onceaTrojanalwaysaTrojan

Ok....I've been putting this off posting here because I have a kid that plays...so here, im gonna post, like it or not I don't care 1. All of you falling for CNB'S head are freaking idiots. This man came in, too keen a 3-9, 4-8 team, with HIS added in recruits, gave Troy a 9-3 season and a GREAT bowl birth. Yes, we lost a couple games we shouldn't have, but what about the fact that the assholes on here that don't give us past a 5-7 , maybe 6-6 record, finishing mid of sunbelt pre-season that's including most of the major fan sites, @philsteel being 1 of many. We proved them all wrong. 2. Yes, maybe there were some wrong calls along the way . But guess what, there are only 16 seniors on this team . They were lead by a young head coaching staff, that yes made some mistakes along the way, but look at where our team is vs. Where we were last year. Last year we were ecstatic over beating a shitty lala team. Now, here we are 9-3, after an 4-8 season, and yall want to B****? All I have to say is wake up and see that Troy is finally on the right track. Those of you that are calling for a new head coach or even a new OC, are purely no more than arm chair dumb A** coaches. Probably only played the game no more passed high school at best or were bench riders at any level passed that that. CNB has done more for this program in the 2 years he's been here than anyone can fathom. Yes, we lost 3 games we shouldn't have, but with any kinda of success there is growing pains. Everyone with any kinda football sense will understand this. We only have 16 seniors on this team. MY GOD can yall not see what the future holds? My son is done after this bowl game, but we will always be a part of the Troy family. The friends and family we have made along the way are permanent. But to those over these past years that have beat down and tried to break the Troy spirit, yall can kiss my A**. As far as the ones, and you know who you are, that are calling for change on this awsome coaching staff, yall can also kiss my A**.Yall are idiots . Your play calling wouldn't work like you say it would. NONE OF YOU have been on the sidelines with that split second decision making and neither have I, but I can say, just like me you're not qualified. But I feel the coaches we have are more than qualified. I'm so proud to have developed the friendship and added family of being a Troy Trojan this past 5 years I don't know if Tyler ever reads this site or not. Please make sure he knows how many of us have expressed appreciation for the efforts expended on our behalf. Make sure he knows how many of us have stated how proud we are of the team. Make sure he knows how many of us recognize the direction the club is heading, and how he contributed to that. Make sure he tells his teammates these things. I hope to see you next year, screaming your lungs out at the refs along with rest of us. Thanks so much much for that. He does know how yall have supported him and the team. He talks about it constantly. Yes the team DOES, as well as the coaches read this board. Believe me, even though you have the negative crap on here, the positives far outweigh the negatives. I hear it from him and otherplayers every weekend. Thank you again for your support. I so wish there were more people that say they were fans would actually act like such, SHOW UP TO ALL the games they could attend, and be the support this team needs. Thank you for your support and to all those that positively support the Troy Trojans! #RTW #GOTROY #EDGE

Decent article, but to say that "Corey McCullers...... left the program with eligibility remaining." reveals lack of research? GO TROJANS! Totally agree.
