Anything is better than the white helmets all the time. White only looks good to me with the stars and stripes logo and the digi camo logo.

Having Coach Hardmon back with Zo Bridges and Tron Folsom gearing up for big senior years will be huge for us. We bring back all linebackers from the two deep (not counting the bandit LB / DE position). Zo should be a red shirt Junior. He didn't play last year. So he should be healthy now.

Nothing should surprise us this coming season. No favorites to play going in. CCL's bailiwick is QB'S. Competition helps. Wasn't too many years ago a Troy record setting QB sat third string on the bench as the "favorites" got the nod. History will show that Levi Brown proved himself when he got the chance! No Doubt. Things can happen to make way for the Levi Browns and Kerwin Bells of college football to get that opportunity, but given a healthy Barker or Brown, I see one of these QB's winning the starting job, and I would be surprised if they are beat out by any other QB's on the Troy roster. I will say this though...if they are both beat out then Troy will have one the best offenses in Troy history and in the country next year.jmo Of the returning guys my ranking is Sawyer, KB(if doesn't red shirt) and Gunnar. I have Free above Screws just because of experience.

To much Lee County for me with some of the guys he is bring on.... Ok, for us non-Alabamodians....what is Lee County? It's the county Auburn is located in hence some people call them Lee County Cow College.

To be fair, JSU's defenses were outstanding those four years. Maybe he's learned a thing or two from Vic. We'll see about Pugh, but I don't understand the hire. They don't run the spread at BYU, and their offense wasn't that good either. he also has no experience as an OC. Played in the spread system. I could be wrong about I think he was a 4 year start at Auburn. On a line that helped Auburn win a National Championship. Also (The HC we don’t speak of) was his OC when he played at Hoover HS. I am okay with this hire. byucougars.com/staff/football/1283098/Ryan-Pugh

He is the perfect example of a game manager. I don't know why that term is considered so bad. Isn't that the job, after all, of a coach and a QB? He took what was, at times and for various circumstances, weakened offenses and weakened defenses and found ways to win by doing exactly what Bubba said, managing the game. It's higher altitude vision and not simply just play-by-play, series-by-series. Hemi nails why I will miss CNB so much - he was a real head coach. I think he's going to be a legend in the long run. I truly do. And when he does become a legend I believe he will always thank Troy for giving him his first HC job. (The HC we don’t speak of) could wind up being the exact same but only time will tell.

If we could afford to get Rodney Garner from Auburn it would be a good move. Excellent recruiter for Auburn and at UGA as well I'd regular have Tracy Rocker than Garner. Garner hasn't shown me much. But I'd definitely try and get Travis Williams.

I seriously hope Rigby has gotten a nice raise over the last couple of years, and I hope she gets more raises and some extensions. Troy needs to keep her as long as possible. Rigby will get her teams to the NCAA tournament multiple times if we can keep her here. She's already done that. They went back to back years after winning back to back conference titles in 2016 and 2017.

Same ole movie at Auburn! See Tony Franklin vs. Tubbs!! I think that was more not having players to run Tony's system and not giving him enough time. But Lowder didn't want Tubs anyway.

I like this. High-powered offense. Southern Miss had the #12 total offense in the nation in 2015 with him as OC. They averaged 40 points per game... something Neal Brown's offenses weren't even able to do. USM was also: #13 in Offensive points per game #19 in 3rd Down Conversions #20 in First Downs #12 in Passing Offense #30 in Yards per completion (which means they threw some bomb passes) #54 in Rushing Offense #16 in Pass Efficiency Everything about his offense would've destroyed the 2018 Troy offense statistically. (The HC we don’t speak of) ran the ball for more yards, and passed for more yards. I think his offense at Auburn needs to be overlooked. It's no secret that Gus Malzahn restricted (The HC we don’t speak of)'s playcalling, just like he did with Rhett Lashlee. Look at Tony Franklin when he was at Troy... had phenomenal offenses, then he went to Auburn, and his career took a dive because Tuberville's philosophy clashed with his. He was one of Auburn's best recruiters by a wide margin. Auburn didn't have the personal to run Franklin's system plus lowder wanted Tubs gone.

Brohm should have took the money had ran home to UoL after that bowl performance. Had he done that Neal would be a Purdue right now. He may have but I just don't see it. At least WVU he has a chance to win early and possibly complete for at least conference titles.

Men's Basketball team plays at Little Rock Tomorrow. Forgot who they played until I saw it posted on Twitter. Obviously staged. It’s clear Houston Nutt and Jeff Brohm are coming to Troy. Brohm should have took the money had ran home to UoL after that bowl performance.
