Buyout?

So your saying our Athletic Dept cant get any better? We don't need any more resources? We are good we don't need that money? I'm not demanding anything. I was just asking what his actual buyout was. I am so sorry I offended the angry little man that likes to yell at people behind a keyboard just by asking questions. No, I don't know what their buyout is and frankly don't care right now because they didn't just get hired by WV. Don't put words in my quotes that I didn't say and I don't hide behind a keyboard, you want to poke at me go ahead. You say "you don't want to know" that you "don't care" but you go on and on about the subject, maybe stick to the podcast where true colors are shown! And this is why I have just 37 posts on this board.

That number was reported by Stacy Long from the Montgomery Advertiser not USA today. Here is a link to the article:
My mistake, just figured Stacy had followed up with this before writing the article, since he is pretty close to the program. Still trying to figure out why someone would just make that number up. Seems odd.

Buyout?

We care about the buyout because that should have been 2.9 million dollars being paid to our university and athletic program. If you care about the state of Troy Athletics then you should care about the buyout. That's not very hard to understand, is it? To what end? Don't preach to me about the "state" of Troy Athletics, anyone with a smittin of sense can tell our Athletic Dept is in GREAT SHAPE! The fact that you don't know doesn't automatically give you the right to DEMAND the contents and parameters of an individuals contract buyout! Do you know what Coach Smarts buyout is? Do you know what Coach Cunningham's buyout is? Do you know what Coach Rigby's buyout is? Probably not. So your saying our Athletic Dept cant get any better? We don't need any more resources? We are good we don't need that money? I'm not demanding anything. I was just asking what his actual buyout was. That is not how this contract was reported to be written up. That number is not real. The number in USA Today was not accurate. No one knows where that number came from. That number was reported by Stacy Long from the Montgomery Advertiser not USA today. Here is a link to the article:

We need to know who agreed to this for Troy. The deserve to be punished medieval style. Dana's WVU contract was similar. If we fired Dana we would have owed him $6 million, since he waited until Jan 1 and took the Houston job on his own he only owed us $1 million. It's just the way those contracts work. The coaches agents negotiate them that way to protect the coaches. It just kinda is what it is. That is not how this contract was reported to be written up.

Can someone explain to me how Neal Brown's buyout was 300k, when he got a brand new contract just a year ago that states his buyout is 2.9 million?

You can believe that I'm wrong, but I can actually prove my point with stats. Your only explanation is that football is a strange game.

Have we been watching the same games? We had to hang on the beat NMSU, had to come from behind to beat Akron (who is in the middle of the pack of the MAC) at home, lost to an awful South Alabama team and struggled to beat Idaho. We also beat a pretty good LSU team on the road, and trounced the 3rd place Sun Belt team in their house. Football is a strange game. I believe it has more to do with an inconsistent offense rather than football being a strange game.

Yes, several outlets have reported the signings but just haven't heard an official word from TROY.

Saw on Twitter that they both signed, but have not heard any news from the Athletic Department about them signing . Whats up with that?

My Bowl money was used for Christmas presents. I would be able to take my family to the game.

They don't show the ones they have in the booth The booth uses the TV cameras to review calls, so we do see what the booth sees.

I don't see it happening any time soon, because of the financial situation.

Was Hemi a student athlete for Troy? No and neither was I. Neither were many of the donors who have helped fund this program. Again, I know nothing about TroyStet other than he played here which is awesome and I'm glad he is still involved because many former players are not and many could not care less if Troy wins or not, but to say anyone has done more than HemiMan is garbage. Not garbage. Every student athlete that has put on a Troy jersey has done more for Troy Athletics than you, I , or hemi has and will ever do. They sacrificed blood, sweat, and tears for Troy. They faced the grueling schedule of a student athlete. They have done more than go to the games and give money to the athletic department. and Just because Hemi has helped with funding does not mean he can belittle everyone on this board (except for his buddies) and especially former Troy student athletes.

If Troystet was a member of a NC team for Troy, the point is he has done more for the university than you ever will, Hemi! Wow, just joining in this fun and its none of my business, but to say ANYBODY has done more for Troy than Hemi Man is RIDICULOUS! Now carry on... Was Hemi a student athlete for Troy?

If my math is correct, he is also a national champion. So is Aaron Hernandez. What's your point? If Troystet was a member of a NC team for Troy, the point is he has done more for the university than you ever will, Hemi!

Why? Some folks give back to the university by buying merchandise and season tickets, which is all they can afford. Since they don't give to the Warrior fund they are not entitled to see recruiting news?

My statement was not aimed at just one individual. There a few on this message board that jump at the chance to belittle people who have a different opinion than them. I don't care whether your post is negative or positive, that's your opinion either way. I think we should just be able to state our opinions without attacking each other or being smart asses to each other. Agree or disagree with me by all means but lets try to be civil about it. This is the very reason why I don't post a lot on here. That's not specific to this message board. Happens on most all message boards regardless of the topic. LOL! Of course you would say that, Hemi. Is that why you do it, because everybody else does it? C'mon, man!

It is so ridiculous that you guys cannot make it through one thread without posting some sort of attack or smart A** remark aimed at each other.

IMO, They promoted him to make him feel better about not being the S&C coach for Football, so he would stick around to coach the other sports. If Neal Brown thought he was doing such a great job they wouldn't have brought in a new S&C coach for football.

This kid showed leadership breaking up a fight. Our starter throws helmets and goes pout on the sideline after coming off the field. Pruitt shows flashes but turns the ball over and throws it like a Nolan Ryan fastball on short routes. We have scored 2 offensive touchdowns in the last two games. This kid has never complained and been a team leader. Not the most talented but we need a field leader and he needs a shot. We are 1-7 with two TD's in two games, do you really think he can do worse??? How does that crow taste? You gave me hell when I mentioned Tidwell being the starter next year and you turn right around and call for it 2 weeks later.
