These Trojans don't quit, down by 19 but made it a contest in the final 5 minutes, at their home on National TV. I'm taking the stairs. Tremendous fight and resilience by the TROJANS. Tough loss, but still a position for the double bye and an outside chance at the regular season title. Bring it home, guys.

stAte just beat us at home last week, they are a very solid team. We'll have to play our best. As HCSC said Monday night, we’ll have to be physical, we’ll have to make quality shots, and we’ll have to win the battle on the board, especially on offense. He said the key to doing those things is 4 inches. Stop playing standing straight up, drop the hips (hence 4”), spread the feet and be ready to move quickly. If we play upright and flat footed as he states we did last week, we will once again get trucked. They are quick, the fun the floor well and they can shoot the lights out if not defended well.

Remember the plane’s designation? It was Trojan Force One. Any time we speculate on a plane being used for important athletic events(AD search, HC search, etc) we should use this. Hopefully by the time one of those circumstances arises again, we’ll all be senile and will have forgotten this.
I liked the “jet”. Corny? Yes. Silly? Yes, unique? Absolutely. Short of the artillery cannon that we used to fire after a TD, it was perhaps the most quirky and unique thing about TROU football I’ve seen in the almost 30 years I’ve been attending games.
That said, it should not be used pregame to remove, or distract from, our pre game soliloquy. NOTHING should ever replace “HAVOC!”

I thought they allowed statAte to get away with a lot of hard contact at the basket only to call light contact against us on the other end. Were those light contact foul calls legit? probably, but to call those after letting the hard body contact to our guys under the basket go uncalled was frustrating. That’s just me. I could be wrong, but that’s the way I saw it.

I hope to make a game or two this year, but after 7 home FB games, the Bowl game, probably 50% -75% of the home basketball games and gas at $3.00 + a gallon, and a 120 mile round trip, the travel budget has taken a very big hit. If only I lived closer.

We shot 39% from the floor in the second half and were out scored by 18. We lost the rebound battle, the TO battle ,the fouls battle (I have some thoughts about that too), the second chance point battle and the points in the paint battle. HCSC described it as “terrible “ and I think that sums it up. Not a good night for the good guys. See you all in The Arena Saturday as we attempt to bounce back vs ULM.

Today's game vs Kent State was one of the most physical BB games I've ever see. With the exception of 2 first half charging calls against the good guys (one of which was egregious and maybe the worst call I've ever seen in Trojan Arena), the officiating was even handed and fair. The two teams on the floor today fought hard and in the end, our bench play was too much for them. Congrats to Myles Rigsby on another 20 pt performance. He is proving to be all he was touted to be coming into the season. We have 2 more chances to see the Men of TROY in Trojan Arena this season - Thursday and Saturday of the upcoming week. Be there, or be square. Seriously, you don't want to miss it.

I rember some leg twisting and other dirty play by the Fouls. I’ve never left a game mor mad at the opposing team than that one. Wasn't Schnelly the HC for FA Whoo that game?? [br I believe so.

Strategic move on his part. Successful TROY OC to HC anywhere likely a shorter journey than Passing game coordinator/QB coach at WVU to HC anywhere.

I was around for the last 5-6 years of the rivalry. It was, at one point, an intense rivalry that had become basically a second HC game for us. The last time JSU won was in 1990, so they went 11 years without winning. It wasn't much of a rivalry at the end. We moved on, moving up to DI in 2000. We have established new rivalries with our conference mates and the in state rivalry with 🚫 gets better each time we have a contest with them. If you don't believe that it is a rivalry, find a video of yesterday's BB game and watch the intensity with which it is played and listen to the fire the students brought to the game. In addition to 🚫, we have a strong rivalry with stAte, GATA, App, Coastal, and will have a strong one with JMU. We don't need JSU to provide us a rivalry and I'm fine if we don't play them. If they want to play us, let them establish themselves in CDOA and then move up to the 'Belt the next time there's an opening.

Wow! Today was fun. The ladies FOUGHT their way to an OT win by dominating the OT period. They never quit.
The men played a tough, physical game against a very physical 🚫 team. The boys from Mobile, where the TROJANS have their vacation home, came out for their pre game shoot around and EVERY ONE of them were wearing under garments that had pads on the ribs and the back. I wasn't in the locker room when the decision was made to do that, but I guarantee it was an attempt to intimidate our men by saying, "Look at us, we are wearing pads so that we can play through the contact we are bringing". It didn't work. Our guys took all 🚫 brought and won by seven (OK, by 4, but the final 3 pointer was uncontested at the buzzer).
The crowd was huge, and it was electric. Our students wore out the Jags from the opening tip. I wish all of our BB games were like this, and they could be. All it takes is for folks to show up.

Once again, it circles back around to the George Harrison lyrics - "It's gonna take money, a whole lo of spending money. It's gonna take plenty of money, to do it right child."

Here's another funny that isn't being mentioned on social media sites. He's a CO defensive coordinator. Bama announced someone else earlier this week as Co-defensive coordinator/safeties. He more than doubled his salary, gets to coach with his buddy, and gets to do so on the biggest stage possible, but I's not all it's being portrayed as.

I suggested to them they hire (The HC we don’t speak of.). He's too good for them. The man doesn't have many clues, but he can recruit. I think XHCCL > XHCJS in recruiting. Recruiting prowess not withstanding, he singlehandedly destroyed, in under 3 years, what HCCG, HCLB, and HCNB had taken 35 years to build. Imagine what he could do to a program with the history of SouthAL

That sucks for South. Difficult time to lose your HC. Something tells me they're going to hire Major Applewhite as HC. Heck, I think Willie Simmons would do well at USA. Scott Frost still available?? I suggested to them they hire (The HC we don’t speak of.).

@ssn_Alabama is floating the idea of Kane Wommack as Big 'Bama's new DC. First, I would find it hilarious if SouthAL lost their head coach this late in the game to their big brother. Second, JanNation is indignant at the very idea that he would leave the HC job in Mobile for a "demotion" to be Big "Bama's DC. They have even go so far as to say he "...he wouldn’t leave the HEAD COACH POSITION at an elite sun belt team..." (emphasis by the original poster). They really consider themselves to be an ELITE program. Should this shake out, it will be hilarious to watch the melt down in Mobile.

Does anyone know if Theo Seng is alright? I saw where he got injured toward the end of the USM game, and he had to be helped off the court.
I'm hoping it was nothing serious.
He came back to the bench after getting treated off court. He didn't reenter the game and had a slight limp, but he was smiling and signing autographs for all the kids waiting at the tunnel after the game. He said on the post game radio show that it was just a sprained ankle, he'd get ice on and would be fine. I don't know if he'll be able to take the court in Mobile Thursday night, that's a short turnaround, but it didn't appear to be nearly as serious after the game as when he left the court. I would expect his status to be addressed tonight on Trojan Talk.

I watched an interview with him explaining what he does for the Packers. He works to break down the opposing teams offense explains what they do to the defensive staff and then helps replicate that offense in their practices so the defense sees it live. So what you are saying is...he did a masterful job against the Cowboys. I think we are going to see a real 1st-class organization out of this group. Too many P5/NFL guys NOT to be prepared every week. The key though, is recruiting. Will that translate to getting good players? The guys in green and gold did a masterful job of derailing the Dak to Cee Dee train. If our new OC was responsible for that, even if he only made a substantial contribution to that, I can't wait to see what we can do.

I’m old enough to be the grand dad of a bunch of you. When I was coming off age, a football team had a head coach and some assistants. Bigger programs, like college and NFL teams, had coordinators and position coaches. The first time I remember hearing of an “analyst” was when Saban hired Sark as an offensive analyst. Help an old codger out. What exactly is an offensive analyst? Is he essentially responsible for video study and breakdown for the purpose of providing data to the appropriate coordinator or is the job something else entirely? I ask this because the guy being reported to be our next OC is a senior analyst for the Packers and I’m curious what that entails. I watched an interview with him explaining what he does for the Packers. He works to break down the opposing teams offense explains what they do to the defensive staff and then helps replicate that offense in their practices so the defense sees it live. Thanks
