I really like Geoff Collins! Bio: www.hailstate.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=205075838 D-coordinator at FIU in 2010 and Linebackers/recruiting coordinator at UCF so he has connections in central and south FL. "In his last year before joining the Bulldogs, Collins’ FIU defensive unit led the Sun Belt in total defense, scoring defense, pass efficiency defense and turnover margin; all a remarkable accomplishment for a group that finished 119th nationally in total defense and 111th in scoring defense in 2009. The Panthers’ sack totals nearly doubled, and the pass defense improved from 108th nationally to 32nd in 2010. For his efforts, Collins was a finalist for the Broyles Award - given annually to the nation’s top assistant coach." Salary: Looks like he just got a two year extension last year www.cdispatch.com/msusports/article.asp?aid=30515 2012- $291,700 2013- $325,000 2014-signed 2 year contract extension- $575,000 2015- $625,000

I am not a huge fan of Neal the person but I would like for him to come back to Troy. His name has been floating strings as Larry's replacement since he left for TTECH and everyone seemed to think he was still a little need if experience. Well it's been 6 or 7 years and I think he is ready to step up and be the next head coach of TROY. I am very interested to see who our DC will be, no matter who the HC is. Yes, We blew the game against LSU but Neal has had 6 or 7 more years calling games in the B12 and SEC since then.

Neal Brown may not be the right guy but I would bet on him - he's just got fire in his belly to win - as someone said he is all business - can't wait to see a Troy team that takes the field with an attitude/swagger again and I believe Coach Brown would bring it first and the players will follow 04-cheers

At least he has a track record as a HC. This guy has been nothing but a RB coach. Anybody could be the recruiting coordinator at LSU. They come for Les Miles, the tradition, the SEC...not Frank Wilson the RB coach. I'm sure he is a great position coach but what offense does he run? What defense? How is his game decisions? To many unknown When you are recruiting coordinator at LSU you are recruiting against every team in the country. You are recruiting against Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida St, Texas, Oklahoma, USC, Oregon, Michigan, Michigan St, ect. I would say recruiting to LSU and getting the top 4* and 5* that could go to any school in the country that they wish is pretty tough.
Also, I am pretty sure that JH will go over those questions in the interview...

Cool, Thanks Chad! I would like to be a part of the ticket buy again, maybe even 2 tickets this time. Great. Our mutual friend sent me a text a couple of weeks ago to let me know he's in again too. It looks like this is the first year that i will be able to by season tickets. What is this ticket buying group you speak of? If it's not to late to join...

3 of the fumbles were from young guys that probably won't be seeing the field much, if at all, this year so I wouldn't be to worried about that. I know that one of the ints were from a tip and good play by the LB or Nic.
Tim Longmire (r-fr) looked the part at RB. I was pretty impressed with him.
I think it is going to take a little time for the timing in the deep routs but the short and intermediate pass plays seemed to be there

This is a good opportunity for all of us to turn a $ into $$. And if you are not a huge gambling fan or feel bad for Vegas you can always just turn around and give that $$ to the TWF.

Troy leads at half 10-7.
QB is let loose in the 2nd half and Troy Wins 34-20.

Thanks for the breakdown! Those DLine weights are pretty impressive. Also the RBs look to be bulking up... I love having running backs that are add big as they are. We are going to be pounding out the yards this year top set up the passing game.

How is a 5 star QB going to be under the radar? I hope we can get him, it would be the recruiting miracle of the century but anything is possible. Being a 5 star from OK you would imagine that he goes to OK St. Or huge Sooners. You also have a Johnny Football less A&M and Charlie Strong at Texas who coached Teddy Bridgewater. Rivals has him listed as a 2* right now and 247 had not rated him. Troy and UAB are the only schools that have offered him. I would say he is still under the radar.
