With Saban retiring and the coaching waves that could happen as a result, anyone else think it would be funny if a better job opened up for XHCJS but he would miss it because he jumped at Tulame. I really do like JS, but just an intrusive thought especially after seeing the poaching from recruits and portal transfers. Maybe Bama will hire Mark Stoops š

I admit Iām biased because heās a Blue Raider and UAB guy that Sumrall hired with an unimpressive resume. From my limited interaction, he doesnāt seem to have much charisma and I question whether he could build excitement. Maybe Iām wrong, it just seems like weād be settling. I whole heartedly disagree with this. Craddock isn't the same kind of personable that Jon is/was (he is much more of a shy type of personality) but he's a good dude and I don't think I could possibly disagree with the resume any more. He was the youngest OC in the country just a few years ago, his offenses at SMU were extremely explosive and he has Power 5 experience, too. I think his offense at Troy has also spoken for itself. Glad to hear heās a good dude, maybe we would see another side of his personality if he was in charge. If heās the guy, Iāll be a fan.

Surely we can do better than Joe Craddock for head coach. Just out of curiosity what do you actually know about Joe? I admit Iām biased because heās a Blue Raider and UAB guy that Sumrall hired with an unimpressive resume. From my limited interaction, he doesnāt seem to have much charisma and I question whether he could build excitement. Maybe Iām wrong, it just seems like weād be settling.

The timing of the IPF announcement seemed odd. I wonder if we had to hurry up and allocate the funds from a contractual standpoint in order to be on solid ground when demanding a buyout.

Several have made the point that most any of us would leave our jobs if offered 3x the pay. Thatās not the right analogy.
Would you leave your job in a (seemingly) shady way for 3x the pay at a sub-par company, or wait a year and leave for 4x the pay at a world-class company, and do it with honor and respect to those you have worked for?
Perhaps it will be revealed that he did leave with honor and respect. I hope so.
Tulane wasnāt a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Jon. I think we all just expected better.

Whoever is playing Tulane, or whatever other lame school offers Jon more money in two years.
Iāve enjoyed pulling for West Virginia since Neal left, and wish him success. This is different.

Our use of video boards is the biggest opportunity for improvement (besides OC Craddock). Do none of our cameras have a zoom button? When someone is honored on the field, the camera person stays 15 yards away and you canāt see anyoneās face.
In-game play shows a worthless āblimpā view that doesnāt provide much value.

Haha. I did a similar thing, this was my result. Itās mostly off base, but funny that it gave the Mike Amos cheer in #4.
ā-
As an AI language model, I don't have personal preferences, but I can suggest some cheers that are popular among Troy University football fans:
1. Trojan Warrior Chant: "Trojan Warriors, stand up and fight! We're the mighty Trojans, let's show our might!"
2. "Go Trojans!": This is a simple and classic cheer that is often used by fans to show their support.
3. "T-R-O-Y!": This is a popular cheer where fans spell out the letters of the university's name.
4. "Who are we? Troy!": This is a call-and-response cheer that is commonly used by fans to show their school spirit.
5. āTrojans, let's go!": This is a simple chant that is easy for fans to remember and can be used throughout the game.

Did anyone notice Tiny T-Roy at the end of the game? It looked like a kid stole the suit and was walking around.

The Cure Bowl in Orlando is the best option? 10-2, Conference Champions, the team deserves more than this !!! Agreed. Sadly take away the hail Mary and we are ranked and going to the cotton bowl. As it stands such is life in the G5 The only way I keep from being depressed about this thought is thinking of the other few games we won that could have easily gone the other way.

XHCNB gets another year at WVU.Ā Hopefully they keep him until we need to replace Jon. HCJS is a better coach than NB. I liked NB but there is no comparison in them imo Easy now

The conference must have done the counting. If that was a normal game we would have reported 25k. š¤Ŗ

I think you all make good points and Iām super glad Troy scored some good commits today.
While it is a job interview in a sense, the attendees are paying for instruction/coaching and deserve to be treated with respect.
I think weād agree that when youāve sold someone on how great Troy is and then Troy becomes their worst experience out of a summer full of camps, itās disappointing. It doesnāt necessarily mean anyone was at fault though, I suppose.
I deleted the original post and apologize for posting it here. Iāll contact the athletic department directly, or, more likely, I probably wonāt care by tomorrow.

The OC must have been āhungry and eagerā and beat out the āimpressive resumeā guys. Not a fan of the Craddock hire? He may be the right guy, just surprised with interest āvery very highā from guys with impressive resumes that he was our best option.

This seems like an odd roll of the dice by CJS on his most important hire. Were we misled on the pool of money available for assistants?

Looks like Hall is headed to Oklahoma per reports. I personally HATE to see him go but Iām happy for him if he feels that as a better opportunity to advance himself. Personally Iād say that Brandon went 15-0 as a head coach because for 3 seasons it was the only side of the football that won games. Actually defense was terrible in 2019 and offense was pretty good.

Too bad, but I think we all want the best coaches regardless of their Troy affiliation. Saying we want former players involved doesnāt mean we have to hire them.

As others have said, HCJS was extremely impressive! Also worth noting that Dr. Hawkins was as fired up as Iāve ever seen him. Anyone who questioned his desire or willingness to make football successful (CFP level successful) was incorrect. Great day to be a Trojan!!!

Why canāt we just be happy that we all got what we wanted? I donāt see the point of continuing the personal insults and name calling of the previous coach.
