We will be graduating a lot of production (although it hasn’t played out on the field at least on offense). Next year will be a “reloading year” which will bring some uncertainty in itself. If there is a higher paying gig (and there will be if we win 9 or more I think), CNB will go and nobody could really blame him. It’s just business. When a better opportunity comes along, you take it whether it be financially or notoriety. At that time, we’ll thank him for a great job turning the program around and take the buyout money and invest it in the next guy. I just hope it’s another young firey coach that will relate and recruit well. The truth is that this will always happen with schools like Troy. Blakeney was loyal to Troy because there was such a black mark after the Auburn situation that by the time he rebuilt his reputation, no one wanted to hire someone headed for retirement. That’s my 2 cents anyways. Either way, I’ll happily lose coaches if it’s because we keep winning! Go Trojans!

Take a real look at where the program is and you'll see that this season is definitely a success, the coaching staff has overall done a great job at managing the program. They are human and make mistakes, players and coaches. It is OK for us as fans to be upset about a loss like this. It's OK to question play calling and in game decisions. It doesn't mean you don't support the team/staff. It is a good sign of where the expectations have risen to in the last 9 months. We should be disappointed with today's game, and excited about where the program is headed. The fact is, we had a chance to win the conference this year. Twice really. That leaves us very disappointed but it's great to be back in the hunt. When was the last time we were this fired up for Trojan football? Been far too long! Go Trojans!

Forget curses and blackout juju... Whatever the crap y'all are talking about. This is simply a beatdown. Our offense is dead in the water and this team is not built to rely on defense. The spread usually relies on scoring points.

That's a good response! Now feed on that momentum defense!

Looks like the team that played against Ga Southern showed up. Silvers has got to step up now. Lead this team if he wants the job in the future. Just my opinion.

I'm all for being aggressive but punt the ball in that situation... Play calling on that series seemed ridiculous.

BIG TIME TEDDY! Shades of Jerrel Jernigan on those crossing routes this season!

As good as the D looked early, they have looked equally bad the last 2 drives. Gotta keep fighting.

I think lack of consistent QB play is plaguing this team. Actually, lack of consistency, particularly on offense, is hurting us. I think NB and our players are still trying to figure things out. We seem to lack depth at the line positions but have some spots of brilliance. It's easy to have knee-jerk reactions at this point because of the magnitude of losing, at home, to Idaho, on homecoming. However, change takes time and there are usually growing pains. I was not completely sold on NB hire initially but he seems young, hungry, and recruiting like a mad man so I'm willing to give the staff a fair amount of time. That being said, we wouldn't be fans if we weren't hurt, disappointed, and a little ticked about the performance over the last couple weeks. I'd be willing to bet that what we as fans feel, the staff and student athletes feel it worse.

I trust that the staff makes the right decision on when/if to pull the plug on Silvers. My head scratcher of the game was the fact that Flakes got 1 touch that I can remember and it was a 20 yard TD run. Then never touched the ball again. That doesn't make sense to me. It seems like he does good things consistently when he gets the ball so why not rest Burks and give Flakes a few more touches? I suppose it's much easier to second guess as the arm chair coach though. As frustrating as that game was, I feel better about the leadership in place. There will continue to be growing pains but look at recruiting alone this year compared to last and its easy to see improvement. Hope these commits hang on till signing day!

This is 2 really bad looking teams. I don't think either are this bad but boy does this game look awful. We are out-stinking them right now.

Definitely a tough time to be a Trojan. I guess we just tough it out and hope for better days ahead! Maybe a new hc will ignite something special.

I'm as big a troy fan as anyone but I can't blame folks for not wanting to watch this. If you care about Troy, this just simply hurts to watch. USA will probably destroy us. I'm hearing there is a lot of hype in Mobile for that one on Friday.

That is what happens when you run your quarterback every other play. I'm ready for a new oc.

Hard to believe in this product so far. They seemed to have the intensity early on but no consistency across the board. Offensive play calling has been jekyl and hide for several years now.
