Ho drunk on Thunderbird and Ripple. He’s falling down in the elevator. Ripple? Ho not drink that swill. Ho new favorite is Wild Irish Rose with Ginseng. It's like some sort of fierce energy drink gone wrong mixed with the original Wild Irish Rose. With a wonderful bouquet of ethanol and Dawn Dish Soap*, but Ho digress. On serious note, losers on this board should thank Ho. Ever since his stair-taking rant, TMTDM have play with their pants on fire. Ho like HC Scott Frost. Never mention once about canning him. Win a game in P'cola and get an invite to something. Win two and lobby for the play-in game with a chance to win a NCAA Tournament game. Ho think outside of box all day long. * Parody. Every clown on this Board know Ho favorite cool refreshing alcohol drink is Woodford. Ho not condon two things: 1. Consuming Sushi purchased at Dollar General and 2. Drinking anything below the top shelf at your favorite establishment, although you need to bring your own drink glass if that said place is the Front Porch. Woodford and plastic cups don't mix but Ho digress again.

I came here for the same thing. I was honestly badmouthing the commercial to my wife because it strikes me as such wishful thinking by the NFL that a kid that age in Ghana would be into American football over soccer but then Osi came on and I told her I thought it was a good commercial now and then explained that was an genuine Troy (State) Trojan. 1. It is sad fact that many newer Normal School fans and students and maybe administrators don't even know who Osi Umenyiora is. 2. How many kids from Nigeria have played at Normal School? I'd say, quite a few including most recently Richard Jubinor. 3. Osi has been an incredible Ambassador for the game of football - not just the NFL; he does clinics every year throughout Africa; FWIW: he also visited Iraq when it was still a hot zone to visit the troops. 4. He is a fan favorite on NFL TV in Europe. Quite frankly, I wish he was over here doing TV. 5. I believe he either holds or is tied for most QB sacks in a game (5 or 6 against Philly on a Sunday Night game); in 2005 he had 14.5 sacks 6. He has two Super Bowl Rings 7. I do believe he holds the unofficial NFL record for strip sacks - 35 forced fumbles(4 returned for a TD) 8. He is NFL Hall of Fame worthy. 9. Oh and he is married to the former Miss Universe, Leila Lopes (he is winning off the field too). 10. It was a great commercial that we should blast out all over Tweeter and Instaface

Neal Brown left AFTER his bowl game. Came back to address the crowd at Trojans Arena...this guy was at the Bowl Press Conference on Tuesday and at his Press Conference at Tulane on Wednesday...if Tulane wanted him so bad, they would have waited. Like I said, he neither recruited them nor lived up to his end of the bargain. Heck, Kimani even played in the game, when he had the most to lose with an injury.

You neither recruited these two, nor finished what you started with these guys. I'm surprised that you didn't have the Tulane Athletic Department photoshop their helmets. That "T" stands for the Troy Normal School, not Tulame. It's embarrassing that half of your Tweeters are reposts or pics of Normal School School accomplishments or players. Appreciate the accomplishments while you were here, but how you left...just GTF outta here.

Ho not booing failure...Ho booing being satisfied at finishing mid-pack year after year. It's been pointed out numerous occasions, this team can compete at home but wouldn't win the GulfSouth on the road. That UAB-Mobile game was just brutal to watch.

Mr. Ho tire of taking stair.
Lets face it, the Sunbelt is a bad basketball conference that should be easier to dominate with 1st class facilities. Yet, we fall woefully short year after year. Ho have/had high hopes for Scott Frost. He created a dominating program at UTA. But that hasn't translated over to the Normal School.
Granted, he followed what might have been a worse hire than CL, who set the program back years. We went from playing in a packed sardine can, to a near empty basketball arena. Sartain was so packed the Fire Marshall once had to turn people away. Now, there is no excitement in the program. Zero. I rarely see half the seats full and worse, the floor seats are empty too. Heck, when Normal went on the road, gyms were packed because NOBODY liked us at all because we played with a (The HC we don’t speak of) on our shoulder and we dominated. So what once was is now a distant memory or worse never a memory. Scott Frost walked into that.
I can barely watch a game on the worldwide web these days. We have no real offensive personality. Can't rebound. And miss free throws at a rate so bad that when we sink two it's like hitting the jackpot. Our half court offense is poor at best. We are basically just shooting 3 pointers anyway because we dont match up well with other teams. Why pass the ball erratically and jack up bad 3 contested point shots. Think about it... we are still built for DMs offense yet run set plays. I guess they are set plays.
And here is a Sunbelt fact: One does not have to play "great" defense when the opponent's offense is so bad. Playing "great" defense in this league would limit teams to 36 points per game. And one of the best defenses is the other team having to take the ball out of the net.
The game has changed too. Why recruit high school kids when they leave in a year or two, as we have seen. Bring back players with an edge and recruit overseas. Like go crazy and take risks on a 7' center from Nigeria. Ho not care if one person speaks English as long as they can dominate.
Ho like Frost and assume he will figure it out, but this is a league ripe for dominating and we aren't dominating.

I’m old enough to be the grand dad of a bunch of you. When I was coming off age, a football team had a head coach and some assistants. Bigger programs, like college and NFL teams, had coordinators and position coaches. The first time I remember hearing of an “analyst” was when Saban hired Sark as an offensive analyst. Help an old codger out. What exactly is an offensive analyst? Is he essentially responsible for video study and breakdown for the purpose of providing data to the appropriate coordinator or is the job something else entirely? I ask this because the guy being reported to be our next OC is a senior analyst for the Packers and I’m curious what that entails. I watched an interview with him explaining what he does for the Packers. He works to break down the opposing teams offense explains what they do to the defensive staff and then helps replicate that offense in their practices so the defense sees it live. So what you are saying is...he did a masterful job against the Cowboys. I think we are going to see a real 1st-class organization out of this group. Too many P5/NFL guys NOT to be prepared every week. The key though, is recruiting. Will that translate to getting good players?

Everyone gets too emotionally wrapped up when somebody commits to Normal. Maybe we offered and he didn't qualify...that's hard to believe, but a possibility. People can post whatever they want to with no recourse. Ho can post on Tweeter he new offended coordinator with fancy Normal School graphic then The Drew Champlin post it as fact and TMTDM Universe explode.

It appears that Gary Banks, Caleb Carbine, and all of the recently departed coaches not withstanding, there are quality, experienced, and smart football people out there that don't have TROY ties. Let me be clear, lest I cause a dust up, I have ZERO problems with hiring people with TROY connections. In fact, I think there are former players and perhaps some former coaches who would be good coaches for the TROJANS, but I'm glad ADBJ and HCGP haven't limited their search to those with TROY ties. We still have to play 14 games but I am eagerly anticipating the '24 season. I think we will see new and different things in The VET. I was explaining to someone yesterday that I’d never heard of Tayler Polk, Sheil Wood, Coach Gas and many others until the last two years. They all turned out just fine. I like this group, they have ties from ACC to Big 10, The Notre Dame and all over the south. Talking to one of the guys yesterday and he mentioned a high school coach who is a friend, he’s a local guy who is now in Florida that I’ve known for years. These guys have fingerprints all over our recruiting area. We are gonna be just fine. Agree totally, but a lot of them do have some of LB's DNA on them - in some form or fashion. Hiring LB led to hiring Neal which led to hiring....well that other guy....and then the next guy....and then Gary Parker who played with Neal and the other guy. The football coaches world is weird. One thing for certain, they know Troy is a great place to win.

Ho would like to point out that "Troy ties" doesn't necessarily mean "playing" for The Normal School. Ho would argue that one can find LB's DNA is all over this coaching staff - most distant, but it's there. LB's Coaching Tree is like a massive oak tree. Ho doing review, it hard to keep up with but it include current NFL coaches. Larry hire Neal when he get out of high school. He not do that, Ho doubt many of these guys would even know about Normal School. How big was hiring the Man way back when? What you see in that stadium and the expectations we have today can be traced back to when he first showed up at Normal School. Most of you losers don't remember. Normal was a good DII program that drew 5,000 people a game, had a track around the field and two trailers stacked on each other for a press box. Larry is a legend. No if, and or but.

Looks like Senior Analyst for the Green Bay Packers headed to Normal - Tim Lester. Legend QB at West Michigan. After NFL playoffs.

So IF I have been keeping up correctly, all Troy coaching positions are known now except Offensive Coordinator and QB Coach⁉️ Is that correct? Any rumors out there that I have not heard? 2024 AFCA Convention is taking place January 7-10 in Nashville… maybe we are picking them up there‼️ Carib posted a picture on Insta, all of the coaches are all riding up there together on a bus...old school.

Dangerous. Gerard Parker is hiring the coaches. Every coaching hire, in any sport is a roll of the dice. Sure, cheer and provide support for another 10 wins but if your stated expectations are 10 wins (which that case would be a probable SB championship), you are setting yourself up for disappointment. Especially so early. One game at a time. On paper this is a very good staff. Pretty sure The Normal School has never poached this many coaches/staff from Notre Dame.

I hope Troy athletics gives him a shout-out in some form on Tweeter and Instaface. He played amazing while he was at Normal...moved to Oregon when his brother transferred there. Can't blame him and he has shined in Eugene. Over 120yds so far. Hope he gets a TD or two.
Also, Liberty setting the G5 back about 30 years. SMU should have been in this game.
