I know we have struggled in the Red Zone but it took ULaLa about 8 plays within the 10 yard line to score. I think we hold them to 10 or under and we break 30.

Just watched the game again and I didn’t realize that we did not convert but 1 3rd down and that was with 2 min to go. We need to fix that going forward.

I could not make the game. However, I really liked the two bands sitting side by side. I would like to see that at Troy. Actually they were on the same side of the field but in different end zones

Well, Army isn’t just a “run first” team, they are a “run only” team. One 5 yard pass completion in the first half. If our run defense, that held our last opponent to 31 yards, continues at the same level, this will be a very long game for Army.

Biggest cluster f$&k of venue management I have ever seen. All of the vendors on the visitor side were credit card only payment. Then all the data terminals went down. City did a better job at Ladd Peebles. As was said, the pyro technics and coordinated light show were pretty neat. The concessions were a joke, lines formed by the middle of the first half and never let up. The bathrooms were nice and I guess the stadium was safe, I have gotten into courthouses and airplanes with less scrutiny than the guards on the gates of the stadium. Parking was confusing and located very far away. Post game traffic was a mess.

I will say their stadium is very nice and perfect for them. The light show, fireworks and flame were a nice touch. Student section stayed the entire game and never left off the F Bomb, kudos to them for their commitment. I will say, their student section is roughly a quarter the size of the one at the VET so it's not apples to apples but again, they did stay the whole game. And our students stood right next to them and never let up either.

These things happen, but our ticket office has come a long way in technology and staff. When these hiccups happen it’s all about how they handle the issue. I’m confident our staff will take care of it. Just received a text from the ticket office wanting to make sure I had received my tickets. They are certainly going the extra mile to make sure everything gets handled properly.

We meet Texas State next Saturday, Homecoming here in Troy. We dont play South until the folowing Thursday, October 20. Yes, you are correct. Was shooting from the hip in the car on the schedule. Memory goes when one ages. No disrespect to TX ST but their is a reason I kinda forget them…. Troy will be heavily favored there. The only remaining game that Troy will not be favored in is South.

And coach didn't mention the officiating at all. Bummer. No reason to do that now. He’s a new head coach and he doesn’t need to make enemies of the officials. Also it’s frowned upon my the league to make comments about poor officiating. I don't think that should stop Sun Belt Commish Keith Gill from calling USA Commish Judy MacLeod and demanding an apology for the end zone intentional grounding and a reprimand of the officiating crew.

I'm just as confident with one as I am with the other. This could actually be like Levi B.'s situation years ago. Obviously I watched Gunner fall back. I've also seen Tua T's injuries and CJ Donaldson's at WVU this past weekend. I watched them several times and honestly, except for Tua's second slam-down, none of them really looked as substantial as the injury would suggest. I'm not at all suggesting that they're not - just that visually they didn't look as bad as the outcome revealed. And it seems unusual that we've had three (really 4 but counting Tua's as one) similar concussive injuries right on top of each other when I can't think of another year that there were that many nearly identical injuries that were so highlighted. I know the equipment constantly evolves and "improves" but it kinda makes me suspicious if helmets now are not doing quite as good a job as they were just a few generations ago. I know they're trying to be more protective and cautious and perhaps that's it but Tua's and CJ's wasn't precaution - they were both pretty scary results from something that didn't look too bad on film. Anyway, it'd be pretty scary to have your career possibly incapacitate you now or at some future point that you don't see coming later in life because of the trama received in game play. I wouldn't want to do it for any amount of cash. I do some woodworking on the side and take an abundance of care about breathing in those fine dust particles because they will shred your lungs over time and can be quite the hidden killer. As a medical professional that is directly involved in the post anesthesia recovery period of surgery patients, I’ve learned that the “violence” or the “perceived seriousness” of the fall or impact to the head isn’t always directly related to the seriousness of the injury. I’ve taken care of patients who required a craniotomy to evacuate a blood clot after “falling” and “bumping” their head. The best example I can think of, and the beginning of my recognition of this, occurred at the end of the Daytona 500 in 2001 when Dale Earnhardt died from a crash. As a race fan, I’ve seen violent and serious crashes (Waltrip hitting the gate at Bristol, for example) and seen the drivers walk away. Earnhardt’s crash didn’t look serious, yet it was fatal. Couple this with an increasing awareness of the long term effects of multiple concussions and you get the abundance of caution seen these days. I think it’s a good thing. For Gunnar’s sake, he needs to be shut down from contact for as long as it takes for him to get completely over this. I applaud HCJS for saying, that out of an abundance of caution and for Gunnar’s well being, he wouldn’t let Gunnar play this week even if he clears protocol. Player safety and long term health should come before winning. I believe CJS said that he would hold out Caleb Ransaw and that Gunner is questionable but probable.

I didn’t get to watch the game last night so I am watching tonight. I read a lot of comments about the bad officiating and up to the end of the third quarter I wasn’t overly concerned. They had a big missed pass interference against us in the first half but it appeared that we got away with one in the third quarter. The roughing the kicker was bad but at least might have been as they called it. The intentional grounding was insane and surely will justify an official sanction against the referee crew. The comeback touchdown overcame the call and at least it means that it didn’t cost us the the game. Now a missed OPI so it appears the calls get worse as the game progresses. TMTDM really stepped up and and stopped them on 4th down. Love hearing the band really putting out the sound. The running has been awesome, which opened up the pass. Tez Johnson was outstanding! Cheap shots by WK. crazy bounces of the ball keeps WK in the game. DK is a beast. What a great win!

Gentlemen, first of all I am so happy to be in the Sun Belt! This has been a long, time, coming. I can’t wait to be on your fine campus in a cpl of weeks. I give us a punchers chance but I think y’all are a lot more seasoned and just a little bit more talented. Should be a fun game! So, I need some help from you good people. I want to throw a tailgate for our players parents and friends of the program, joined most importantly by my crew. Can y’all help me out? I just want beer, liquor, and food. Is there a service that will set up tents, chairs, and tables? Do I need a permit? Suggestions on catering? All help and guidance will be appreciated and any of you are welcome to come have one on me. Please forgive any typos, I’m writing this in the back of a car on my phone! Good luck and SMTTT Oxford Bald Eagle Welcome. Enjoy your time in a Troy, everyone is nice and welcoming. But prepared to be fully dominated on the field. FYI All Tailgate Terrace spots taken this season until the La Monroe game.

As TBB said, the Marshall fans really like our game day experience…
“Once in, I sincerely hope Spears saw that and felt disappointed in what we do. Concessions were cheap with plenty of options. Their band was entertaining. The Troy entrance with the fireworks and smoke had a five year old hooked. PA guy kept the crowd engaged (very loud), the music fit a flow for the game. In the second quarter when getting ice cream little one mentioned this was her favorite game. Not much for emailing, but I will send one to Marshall with ideas. For kids, that was a really fun environment.
Overall, I'd recommend Troy 10/10 times. Wish it was closer, but it's definitely a place you can go”
“We had much the same game day experience as Scottyo. Great game day atmosphere and friendly fans. Good time had by all except the Herd loss (Troy needs to get that fixed). Video board was nice and liked the stadium and campus architecture. Marshall could definitely take some game day production lessons. The Bison burgers (game day specialty item) and Conecuh dogs were good. Very good concessions choices, chick-fil-a, domino's, cup cakes, etc. High School band day. Free shuttles from hotel to stadium and back. Walked through a bit of campus, nice. Announcer was good, entertaining, and no sound issues. Tailgate Terrace, kids zone, rv tailgating and tailgating tents. Seemed like there was something for everyone near the stadium which was nice. “
Welcome to TROY and the Sunbelt!

Loved Lou Holtz. Why I am saying that will be obvious in a moment. Guys we have WKU coming up and their offensive output is beyond what we could imagine at our very best. While we have players on our D and last week was good, I just don’t see how we will be able to hang with them this coming week. We will of course do our best and even if we can’t come out on top we could still put together a pretty good year. I can’t say enough good things about WKU and we will be lucky to even keep it to that spread. I had great hopes when looking at the schedule but they have reloaded. We will do our best but the task is daunting. -In the spirit of Lou- Thanks for the pep talk coach.

Troy opens as a 6 point underdog. ESPN gives us an 18% chance to win. Obviously they are looking at WK offensive output but they haven’t met our defense. I like our chances.

Watching games on ESPN + is like nails on a chalk board. The worst part for me is 1) the commentators and 2) Not being to hear the atmosphere of the game (crowd noise, band, etc). It’s horrific. That is why I always turn down the volume on ypthe TV and listen to Barry and crew on the Troy app.

Agree, two sides to every story. And in a perfect world we would get know each side. IMO, what has been presented is half true at worst. But as stated, it has been confirmed there is video of several incidents and witnesses. Again EVEN in a perfect world and Troy went to court and was found “not in the wrong” the damage has still been done. The money was spent and Troy’s name dragged through utter hell as a crap institution that protects deviants. Perception is reality and as you confirmed the media will promote over and over and over the bad sides of this story. Troy gains nothing by going to court, unless we have a mountain of absolute and irrefutable evidence. And you know we don’t. I don't know that we don't have irrefutable evidence. I don't know that the other side does have irrefutable evidence. I do know that I would not settle with someone out of court IF I'm not in the wrong. This will be big news for another 24 hours or so then die down because another terrible situation, or COVID or Monkey pox will take over again. We will hear about this again when it goes to court. It just popped up on my ESPN news feed…

So I could call my ticket rep and buy a few season tickets and tell him to give them away? That would be easy on my end. Football Community Hero program, tickets will be given to military, underprivileged youth groups, Special Olympics and local charities. Only $48 per ticket for the season. tickets.troytrojans.com/Online
