Things I hope to see: A good, even strike zone that is fair to the pitchers. Assuming it’s Ross tonight, I think he can get us 6 solid innings. Shane Lewis bust out of his slump. I keep thinking he is going to have a critical hit that delivers a win. I’ll certainly take it tonight. A win: preferably one with a little breathing room, but I’ll take 11-10 again! Go Trojans! Strike zone seems to be very Bama friendly. We had two punch outs that weren’t called and now Bama pitchers are getting strikes that almost hit the batter. They don’t need the extra help from the ump, we are giving them plenty with our errors.

I get it. It’s so frustrating being on the cusp of awesomeness and not consistently get there. Making a regional in year 2 is a good step (if we indeed make it — I think we will), but this may be one of our weaker teams to have that accomplishment: 1. Only two solid starters with a complete lack of a third trusted arm. 2. Only two decent arms in the bullpen, and those get overextended so they’re not quite as effective as they can be 3. Some of the weakest fielding in program history. I’d like to say our RPI positioning is solely based on an 11-0 start, but you can’t look at those things in a vacuum. These boys have earned a regional spot, I think, and we should celebrate and enjoy it. We have enough stacked against us as a P5 school. But this team has a lot of holes to fix to reach that level of consistent regional appearances we all desire. That game was brutal to watch. Yea, Regional invite should be good. But with this team’s gross inconsistency, it would be a miracle if we got out of it. But I’m in country, so if it’s in the South I’ll be there cheering. Anyone know where they’re predicting we are going ? Latest predictions are the Auburn Regional but earlier predictions had us in Gainesville.

Well, look at all the rest our pitching staff is going to get before the Regional.

From an Ugly standpoint this kind of feels like LSU. Nobody gives up this many runs after dominating the game early.

24. Troy
Troy will head into September on an 11-game winning streak, the second-longest active streak in the FBS behind Georgia (17). That might not last too deep into September given early-season games against Kansas State, James Madison and Western Kentucky. But the Trojans are the class of the Sun Belt and one of the premier teams in the Group of Five heading into coach Jon Sumrall's second year.

I like the idea of contributing to a collective fund. I am curious about the organization and how much gives to operating expenses and how much to the players.

Looking forward to see if our men can keep the momentum going. Should be able to take care of business against Ark St.

A 4-0 start is a great beginning. Two come from behind innings on Saturday and wild finish on Sunday keeps things interesting right up to the last out.
Looking forward to catching a game on Saturday.

Anyone heard when new baseball jumbo screen will go up? I thought I read that supply chain problems will prevent it from being ready until next season.

Jake got a lot of playing time after the first quarter. He started at center but in later series he played guard and tackle. He played mostly center in the 4th quarter. He hustled to the ball after every play, helped up his player and congratulated them as well. During a special presentation about some players visiting a facility for those suffering from cancer or other issues, there was Jake with just a few other players. After the game he stopped by a talked with my grandson who was leaning over the railing. I would say he is a winner on and off the field.

I love the focus of the players. Don’t get caught up in the hype. Do the job and trust your teammates. It does feel like both the offense and defense is playing their best right now.
