I like the scoop on this one. OC/QB coach Anyone want to dig up his offensive numbers as an OC HC record isn’t very impressive but it’d be interesting to know how his offenses performed 17ppg in his first year at Syracuse. 27ppg in his second year. Not great, but the improvement sticks out to me. Syracuse is not an easy place to win or recruit talent.
As a head coach at WMU, his offenses were in the mid 30's in ppg. He had one year later in his tenure where his team scored 42ppg.
Troy scored 26 ppg and 30 ppg under Sumrall and Craddock.

Don't forget... Joe Craddock's offenses at Arkansas when he was OC there were terrible... and his Troy offense wasn't that great either. It was good enough at getting chunk plays, and our defense helped give us short fields. Besides that, Craddock didn't exactly blow the doors off with his playcalling.

I have a feeling HCGP will have his fingerprints all over whatever we do offensively

Was hoping to hear who the OC would be at last night's Zoom call. Still in the works apparently but it sounded like it could be any day now. Who are y'all thinking it'll be?

Football Scoop reported a while back that we are waiting on the Packer's season to end to finalize the deal. I don't know if that's a courtesy, or if we can't legally sign a deal with him until after the season because of NFL contracts.

In the call he did mention that there was a, I think a running back, from the school of the potential OC so it wouldn't be an NFL deal. My memory is a bit hazy on that though.

He was the head coach at WMU from 2017-2022. Maybe that's what he was referring to, but nothing would surprise me at this point. Just hope we get a good one, and in my opinion, Lester would be a great hire.

He said it was a member of the staff, not the OC. That commitment has already been announced on social media

What would make Tim Lester a great choice for OC?
Genuinely asking. I don't see much data to work off of.

cardinalblacktrojan, see above. I think he can get us in the 30s and keep us there.

Everyone in college football is grabbing cash. There are no rules. Kids show up to signing day in Lamborghini.

It hasn’t been mentioned publicly, but Coach Parker’s actual title is “Chief Executive Officer in Charge of Hangin Fitty on Everyone.”
