SAN MARCOS — If Texas State coach Dennis Franchione had his way, his team's offense would flow seamlessly every game. Passes would be on target, routes would be run crisply and blocks would be sustained. But since the Bobcats have struggled with one of the aforementioned categories at one time or another, Franchione was resigned to keep things close to the vest Saturday — namely, running the ball. The approach paid dividends in Texas State's 24-17 Sun Belt Conference victory over Georgia State before 15,684 at Bobcat Stadium. “I think we're going to win ugly,” Franchione said.
