The only confusing thing about this thread is the number of yâall who donât know the Tez / Nix connection but most of you know everything (The HC we don’t speak of) did today and what he had for dinner. Come on people. Get off this board and read some real news every now and then.

Tez Johnson announced on Twitter that he is entering the Transfer Portal. I bet he going to try and get to North Carolina. His brother is Bo Nix, QB for Oregon. Nix just announced he is returning. Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up there. Bingo.

I don't know squat. I have opinions based on just counting (math) and then the visions of Aardvark named Norm. Nope not exactly insider knowledge. Looked at his Bio and sure enough it is there. Just thought it would be a little more mentioned before Bo went to Oregon. So, is it a reunification with XXXX at North Carolina or reunification with brother Bo. Hope he goes to Oregon instead of back with XXXX.

13,000 athletes play college football. 1,000+ are currently in the portal. I'm not going to get too upset about anyone until I hear a new destination announced. Also, I don't think Oregon has an open scholarship for a wide receiver. They are loaded at WR going into next season.

Say goodbye, Say Thank You if a good dude, Say Hit the Bricks if he a bad dude and move on. Find his replacement. Nothing to see here. Bye Tez. Good luck. See ya.

Troy will miss his playmaking ability. He was a good kid too.
It may be helpful from a blocking perspective. There were a few times where Tez wasn't able to hold blocks against bigger safeties or cornerbacks.
I believe that's another reason why Sumrall is bringing in all of these big 6'3" and 6'4" receivers and tight ends.

Take a look at replay of Cure Bowl. See #20 DK just run up to the line and miss the Rusher from his right?? That dude planted Gunnar. There's much to fix on this offense moving forward, I've no doubt it is 1st on HCJS list.

If you really don’t want Tez to go, step up and spend on NIL. Austin Reed, WKU Qb, entered the portal and then a couple of days later backed out after signing a new NIL deal.

Pay NIL money so a kid can drive a corvette onto a field and say he's staying because of John Does support - what a joke.
Move on out and get paid. Hope you get that degree though.
No NIL money after graduation.

Granted Reed played very well while I was watching. Granted Reed would not be coming back if not for NIL Granted Reed would probably not have tinkered with leaving had it not been for NIL Granted Reed made Gump look stupid Granted Reed does not have the same opinion about NIL as does Dabbo, but I am pretty sure NIL (not as Dabbo described is helping at Clemson as well) Granted Reed last nite looked pretty good (in the first half that I watched) due to having time to throw. Granted Reed had more time to throw in his bowl than say GUNNAR did in his bowl. Granted NIL is here to stay. Kind of makes you sick at your stomach even if you agree with it. Granted NIL is kind of like several big lotto winner's do frequently, they seem to go nuts for a while. Granted I NO LIKE the reality of NIL

So Costelli and Strong were recommended to find another school?
How do we know this is true?

So Costelli and Strong were recommended to find another school? How do we know this is true? We don’t know anything except amateur football is over. Depends on how/who you ask. Coaches and staff have being doing this forever, now with the portal it’s a little bit easier and like srb said, it allows coaches to “manage” their rosters more effectively. I’ll say this, sometimes it’s as simple as a position coach meeting with a player to review their year and look at their path forward. And during the conversation, they discuss where they are in the depth chart and how much they would have to do to climb up….message received (we don’t think your good enough), player hits the Portal. Or sometimes, coaches just have favourites at a position and it’s communicated, albeit in more subtle ways, message received (I have my guy, right or wrong), player hits the Portal. This is nothing new, it happens daily at your work and even in your own family.

Both Sumrall and Craddock have talked about the big body receivers being ideal for the offense. He obviously wants to be able to stretch the field but Craddock told me flat out that if a guy can't or refuses to block he also won't get any touches.

Josh’s last comment about blocking makes me think of RaJae Johnson. Numerous times this year his arse was down the field running over folks. Got give him big props on that! I know he is a bigger guy but he seemed to enjoy that part of the game about as much as being the target.

In 1978 (before Pony express or about the same time). My cousin purchased a brand new sports car for 12 dollars. Cars were cheap in those days but not THAT cheap. So, in NIL deals that was dirt poor. Not the only thing he received. Unlike me he was an All-American but heck still some things never change.
