😩😅😆👀. Sunbelt has a lot of work to do there (assuming’Belt Officials) . What was all that noise about between HCSC and Cock’s HC?? It appeared that Cock’s HC took offense at HCSC complaining to one of the refs about the way the game was being called and started Mouthing off at HCSC. I thought a couple of the TROJANS were about to take care of the problem but cooler heads prevailed. These yunguns might not know about the history of this rivalry, but it’s not dead by any means. I loved seeing that. This rivalry is far from dead. The crowd did steadily get bigger as the game went on in the first half. On another note, it says a lot that we were still able to beat a good Jax State team, while at the same time shooting 33.8% overall and an awful 18.5% from 3-point range... AND we are without one of our best players. This team has tons of potential.

Attendance looks miserable Unfortunately our attendance is no better in the new arena, maybe worse. As silly as this sounds the Arena where it is some students won't venture over, Sartain you kind of just stumbled into it

ESPN is reporting 2,159 people. Didn't look like that many were there. I guess 2,000+ will be an improvement on years past if we can keep it up.

Crowd was decent in my opinion for a team with multiple losing seasons in a row. All but one suite were full. You have to take that into account also. Honestly I rarely even pay any attention to the size of the crowds.

All in all it was a heck of a good game. 3OT thriller. Hopefully JSU-Troy continues to play in basketball, diamond sports, and eventually football yearly.

I agree but IMO its true. I remember bringing my daughter up for the SEUS honor band camp they dd in Jan. We were there for three days for three straight years. I would walk out of Smith and over to the old box. Students seem to come and go. It's a shame because the arena is sure a nicer place to see a game than the old musty concrete box

ESPN is reporting 2,159 people. Didn't look like that many were there. I guess 2,000+ will be an improvement on years past if we can keep it up. I don't know how many were actually in the confines of the arena but if the capacity is approx 5200, i doubt there were 2159 there. What I do know is that if that place is ever occupied at anything CLOSE to capacity, the ears of those in attendance will pay the price. 2159 or 834, that place, last night, was insane for most of the second half and all 3 OTs. When you have to shout at the person standing next to you to be heard, it's loud. I think the crowd made a difference. The louder we got, the more intense the play became.

Attendance looks miserable Unfortunately our attendance is no better in the new arena, maybe worse. As silly as this sounds the Arena where it is some students won't venture over, Sartain you kind of just stumbled into it I never lived on campus, I commuted from Dothan for my 6 qtrs of on campus nursing courses and I never attended a game in Sartain, therefore, I have nothing to compare what I've seen at the arena to what went on at Sartain. This is my 4th season attending basketball games, and second with season tickets so I can make some observations. 1) I have yet to attend a game where I didn't see students walking to the arena from the directions of ALL on campus housing. I arrived to the home opener last week mid way through the 1st half of the women's game and students were coming from every where. I arrived early last night and, again, there were students going in at the same time as me. 2) The students seem to take their arrival instructions from LA Dodger fans. There is no way to judge the crowd until halftime, because the student crowd will continue to increase in size until then. 3) Much like at TROY FB games, there is a direct relationship between game excitement and crowd involvement. As the game gets more exciting and the action more intense, the crowd gets louder and more involved. As the crowd gets more involved, the players respond and the play gets more intense and exciting. Once this circle gets spinning, TROY crowds, and students, are as raucous as any in the country. Given that there are approx 9 -10 K students on campus, would it be good to see larger crowds? Sure, and winning will take care of that. When January and February roll around, if we are winning BB games, the students will be there and they will make a difference. After all, 18-22 year olds behave like 18-22 year olds and winning will get their attention.

given that there are approx 9 -10 K students on campus,
Not sure on that figure as our enrollment is listed around 7,400 students I believe. Even if it was there are alot of commuters that don't live on campus (or at least in myday that was true)
