Man - too all you guys that are rooting for us to loose just because you donât like (The HC we don’t speak of) - dam$ - was a terrible way to support your team and your school. I donât know any of you, and I donât post often, and you are probably great people and I never want to speak ill of a fellow Trojan fan (there arenât enough of us) BUT If you want to get rid or (The HC we don’t speak of) then root for him to win 9 games and get an offer to move on⦠root for us to succeed and for all the hard work of the guys wearing the power T to get rewarded. ⦠Donât root for us to fail just to prove you point as to (The HC we don’t speak of) ⦠donât root against these guys that are laying it all on the line with every singe play⦠donât root against the guys that signed on the dotted line to play for your school ⦠your better than what has been posted on this board tonight. Another white knight detected. If we thought he could win nine games in the first place we wouldn't want him gone. Practically no one here - including (The HC we don’t speak of) apologists - believes he is capable of nine wins. Ever. If the blind squirrel stumbles around in the dark and finds enough nuts that some idiot in the admins gives him an extension the next three or four years will not only undo what Neal Brown did, it will undo what Larry Blakeney did! So all of the work of hundreds of players, Demarcus Ware, Osi, Omar, Levi, Kelvin Simmons, Brock Nutter, Orlando Parker, Junior Louissant, Joe Jackson, Rayshun Reed, and many more, will be down the drain. It may be impossible to ever rebuild the wall after that. In short, if anyone actually believed that buffoon could win nine games, we would root for him to stay, not leave.

Thanks for this post. I played on some losing season teams here at TROY. Itâs hard on the players. Iâm not at all a (The HC we don’t speak of) fan, but I want good things for the players and my alma mater. I was glad to see the team show up and execute - even though against an inferior (and frankly, dirty playing) opponent. Weâll know where we are next week. Wishing everyone health. Hope to see yâall cheering on the team (the players) - even if not a fan of (The HC we don’t speak of). Iâll be cheering for a win!

After next week we will have a decent idea of our team. I am NO (The HC we don’t speak of) apologist but I will cheer for Troy to win as many as possible. Do I think he could win 10 overall this year. If you get rolling it is not impossible. I did not say likely. But if we do well I will wish him well ((The HC we don’t speak of)) too. You get a team rolling and the players kind of take over with attitude, effort and desire. Get those going for you and yes you can win a couple more than likely would just on your talent.

Kind of my point. We went from simply expecting 10 wins to hoping, maybe, wish on a star and fingers crossed. We could get back to expecting 10 wins, just find the right coach, but some people just have a h***-*n for Chipdip and some of us can't figure out why to save our lives.

I’m thoroughly confused. I thought we came here to discuss the game. Not our petty differences. If you can look at that team and think “I hope Carlton Martial and Will Choloh don’t perform well because I want to prove my point” then you need to go somewhere else.
As for tonight, I think we looked great. We had good control of the flow of the game, we avoided penalties for over 3 quarters completely, our guys kept composed and acted like grown men when Southern wanted to play dirty… and did y’all see or new QB1? We have some absolute studs in our RB group and we didn’t even need them to control the game.
It’s not about who the opponent was, it’s about how our guys managed what they personally could have controlled. They managed it extremely well, and at the end of the day, if you’re going to whine about “well it was an FCS team!”, the same year we beat LSU under NB, we only beat Alabama State 34-7.
As for someone who’s excited to see everyone next week, GO TROY!!!

I want Troy to win, too. I just want to get back to 10 or more a year. That's why I want a new coach.

I thought the guys played very well...the way you are suppose to play when you play a fcs school. They did control the game...looked good on both sides of the ball. There were some mistakes but very few. I see people posting about last year I mean the team was a couple of plays or play a couple of games of having a winning 7,8 or more win season. It came down to execution...the players just didn't execute when they needed to...example tonight 1 drop for a TD in the endzone...thats not executing. Not the coaches fault...if the coach doesn't have the team prepared then yes I blame it on the coach hands down...but if you as a player aren't in the right position...thats just plain execution...to me I said all last season that troy has to execute to be better once they do they will definitely win games...I enjoyed the game cant wait until next week...yes next week we will see where these boys are.. Im sure (The HC we don’t speak of) wants to win as bad as anybody. So im sure (The HC we don’t speak of) will do everything he can to have them prepared...but they have to play Troy Football for 4 quarters...Cant wait until next weekend

No (The HC we don’t speak of) fan because of the pervious talent. However, the spread was 26 points. If we win next week. We got a team. Go Troy.

Fleet was my position coach for a while, but we ended the regular season near the top in the nation and lost in the semis at Marshall. Ironically, he was my DB coach - not OC. Lots of good memories.

Win the games you are supposed to. I saw good things and some areas of improvement. Overall it was a good day cause of the W. I dont care if it came against the Alabama school for unwed mothers. Ga state was favored to beat army. It looked like they never played football before. You never know until you take the field what will happen. I know I haven't been on here a long time but it doesnt mean I dont love Troy I do. But there are some people that would complain for having to pay taxes if they won the lottery. You just cant please everybody. LB lost some he should've won and so did NB. The guys played very well and I loved every minute of it and I will be there next week cheering until the end. Go Troy

Game discussion: At this point with very little to read as far as data. I think we are better than last year. Not sure what that will get me at Sisters for lunch but it is better than my usual over the last two years of ….. we kind of suck at times. Its’s called hope!!!!! Buzz - overall, the team executed. Pros - QB1 made good decisions generally (one bad one going in on a drive, but generally good). QB1 showed some mobility. Off/Def/ST showed up and executed against this team. In the very recent past, we’ve let teams like this stay in the game - tonight it was never in doubt. RBs after a while got in a rhythm. Receivers made catches - some really nice catches while being defended. Defense - created turnovers!!! They also tackled well. And they played assignments well. QB2 led a 10+ min scoring drive at the end of the game. Very low penalties. That’s actually a +++, because our opponent was cheap-shotting left & right and almost every play the entire night. Cons - normal first game mistakes. Missed PAT. QB bad decision I mentioned earlier - was in the grasp & tried to throw it away… didn’t throw it far enough or well enough to clear the defense. Gave up a couple of explosive plays on defense. Questions - besides the most obvious - talent of opponent being any kind of measuring stick…. The big one for me was rushing. At the half, we had well under 100… for 3.2 per carry. That gave me concern. I don’t know what the gameplan was, so the high passing yardage vs rushing didn’t bother me, but the per carry did. Again, it corrected itself later in the game, but not sure that we can wait til second half for other opponents.
