I agree 100%! We need discipline! Last year when the season was not going well I heard that players were seen regularly at the front porch! Coaches were coming in to work as if were a 9 to 5 job! I know some of that has changed partly do to COVID and this year coaches are getting there early and leaving late! I think that is because they are trying harder because what happened last year clearly did not work! I was a critic of BH last year because every team threw it deep and we couldn’t stop them! We were giving up 500 + yards in every loss! I do like AD Jones and I don’t think he has a problem making the tough decision, as long as he has Dr. Jacks approval! Rumor was Dr.Jack was going to retire after the north end zone was completed! I’m not sure if he ever will but I believe he does not want to see the football program suffering! He might be frugal but he wants to win! College guys going to the porch? They have done that in the winning years and the losing years. That's not something out of the ordinary. It happens at every school. I wouldn't call that undisciplined. It's about knowing how to have a good balance and be smart when you do those things. You can't expect these guys to be in bed by 9 o clock and not enjoy their college lives.

However I heard many a story about a certain player in the 2011 season along with several others out to about 4 AM the day before leaving for the Navy game which we were down 35-0 at half. We went to the porch when I was in school but we had an 11 pm curfew in season. Granted that was easier to enforce as we were required to all live in Slumni but still there needs to be rules in place during the season. #1 it helps cut down potential off field instances #2 no reason to be out after midnight in season. My dad always said nothing good ever happens after midnight. #3 it makes sure guys are hitting the books more than the beer. Nothing wrong with being a typical young person but football season is business and have rules in place that run it like a business

This from a guy that thinks Troy should still run the wishbone. Your stuck in the 70’s dude. During Neal Brown’s 10 win seasons the players were out past midnight all the time. Guess your saying XHCNB was wrong....

Off season we didn't have a curfew even back then. But like I said you have to treat the season different. They are on scholarship to play football..thus in a sense that is their job. My daughter attended on the Millenium Scholarship and had to maintain a minimum 3.3 GPA in Biomedical Science, so academics was her job. Biggest thing an in season curfew does is cut down the possibilities of off field issues either alcohol and fights or sexual assault allegations. Treat them like young men but also instill discipline measures that both benefit them and the team.

Guess your saying XHCNB was wrong.... Captain Estrogen....#1 I never once said we should still run the wishbone #2 We ran the wishbone in the 80's and I played in the 80's, not the 70's. I think you are confusing your time in bell bottoms. #3 if players were out past midnight all the time in season during NB era, we got lucky. Mixing alcohol and late night partying during the season can spell disaster and at some point it will. I understand they are young men, we were all that once. But let one star player get arrested at 1 AM on a Thurs before a big game and then see what happens. There doesn't need to be military rules but rules that help keep them out of trouble during the season. Even in the ancient 80's we did not have a curfew in the OFF SEASON

The point is that discipline starts from the top an (The HC we don’t speak of) lacks it! I know that players will go to bars but they need to take the season seriously and prepare for the games! A college coaches job is multi faceted They need to coach the xâs and oâs but they must mentor the joes!

Does them going to bars mean they arenât taking their season seriously? When you go out on a Saturday night does that mean you arenât taking your job or academics seriously?

Excerpt from Myrtle Beach Sun News: Junior offensive lineman Antwine Loper left the game with what appeared to be an ankle injury in the second quarter and didn’t return, and linebacker Kendricks Gladney Jr. left the game late with an apparent knee injury. Chadwell said neither will be able to play next week. “We lost some guys that we will not have for the championship game. . . . So thank you commish,” Chadwell said.
Real class coach. ALL LOW!
Maybe a $50k fine would help heal that humility deficiency??
Was a fan, GO CAJUNS!!

Dude needs to learn how to win. He can’t handle the act of winning, his players are out of control. I’ve never pulled for ULL/ULALA/Louisiana like I will next Saturday. Coastal is a flash in the pan and their QB who seems to be a new Johnny Manziel needs to settle down also.

Didn't like the antics but I have to give them credit so far..they have answered the bell every time so far and that is something we couldn't do even under NB (Ark St 2016, South 2017). We were the South game after our big win and they found a way. Don't like how they did it but I have to give them their dues.
