Some takes from the possum. Arkansas state is not as good as I thought. Maybe we have a shot of actually getting to 6-6 Georgia southern will challenge us. Free is for real . I’m not even going to bother watching or listening to the game today, cause I know it will piss me off, I don’t need that in my life right now.

If we keep trending, then I’ll predict this thread doesn’t pass 8 pages. When we lose like last week, 16 pages deep. When we win, waaay less pages. How about we say nice things at twice the rate? Just a thought!! Positivity matters and makes a huge difference. Go TROJANS!! Say it with me... TR-OJ-aaaaaaaNS... Wooo!! True

Yeah, maybe we can scratch and claw our way to 6-6 and everyone will throw (The HC we don’t speak of) a ticker-tape parade. Let's make 5-7 the new normal so we'll all be delighted with 6-6.

Two tough games coming up. Gotta go to GATA and then we host a possible top 15 team in Coastal. Should be a fun ride.

This was great win by TROY. We went into Jonesboro and beat stAte convincingly. The offense looked really good with Free throwing for 415 and 2 TDs. The defense was stifling and never let stAte get anything going. Legassey hit 5 PATs and a FG (good job young man). All that said, I'm SURE we won this game in spite of (The HC we don’t speak of), DC Brandon Hall, ant the rest of the staff. I'm sure this victory had NOTHING to do with game planning, adjustments in offensive scheme because of a different QB, or coaching on the defensive side of the ball.
Good job (The HC we don’t speak of) and staff, keep us moving forward. If I may so myself, it seems my post was quite prophetic.

Would still like to see more than 68 yds rushing production. Not sure why so low two weeks in a row? could be a case of taking what the defense gives you today. Free with 400+ yards passing and Geiger 100+ receiving is impressive. And Vidal in with 77 yards receiving out of the back field + 58 yards rushing. Fair point. I am also a fan of taking what they give you, or of running the same play until they stop it. So, good point ksdtrojan. It wasn’t as much about today as the last two weeks back-to-back. Maybe that was the gameplan both weeks... I’m not in the locker room. So I’m def not informed. But as an observer, 68 yrds and less than 100 two weeks in a row with the studs that we have is curious. Of course we also have some stud receivers. We are blessed.

If I may so myself, it seems my post was quite prophetic. Did it have anything to do with beating a team that already had a losing record? Sure that played a part, we didn't beat Clemson or Alabama after all. But when some here continually refuse to acknowledge the positives, continually refuse to acknowledge when improvements are made, and instead focus on nothing but the negative, it makes it easy to predict that behavior will occur even when we dominate a conference game and have positive things happen in almost every phase of the game. Just like clockwork.

Just like clockwork. Not a huge diff, but they were .500 before the game. And yes, sometimes the only things more predictable than the play calling are the negativity and the related “aww shucks” schtick. Oooh oooh or the very predictable “Rowell” comments... 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂. Glad to have a win. Hope the game planning, execution, and adjustments are as effective next week & the next several. GO TROJANS... whup Jax State - I’ll do my version of an oldie!!

You want to talk about predictable?
Troy beats a losing team: "Improvement!"
Troy loses to anyone: "They hung together for 4 quarters!"
"Glad to have a win." and "A win is a win." straight into tearing down the goal posts for getting to 6-6.
I wish I could screw up my job half the time and have everyone make excuses for me.

I’ve been very critical of this staff, but we won a game against a team that we’ve traditionally struggled with. We won on their field. I’m very excited an optimistic about next week and beyond considering what I saw today.

Besides a stall in offense for a while, we did what we were supposed to do... we never let them back in the game. Tomorrow is film time & we start next week 0-0. I honestly believe that everyone on here wants what’s best for TROY; we just have different perspectives. That’s what makes us strong. Like Hemi, I believe this one was much more encouraging than discouraging. Hopefully, we can use this same formula and have it work for a few more weeks. In fairness to Trojans1andall, we’ve been very inconsistent the last two years. I’d love to see this be the first step in more consistent production.

Celebrate this win!!! We convincingly beat a team we have historically struggled against. Lay down your torches and recognize the team and the men who coach them. I’m excited over this win.
A 28 point win! On the road! Against a team TROY has struggled against. May this win launch this team to new levels!!!

Two tough games coming up. Gotta go to GATA and then we host a possible top 15 team in Coastal. Should be a fun ride. I think we have a decent chance of beating GASO. Coastal is going to beat us up and steal our lunch money. Are we playing USA? I had thought the 12th, but I can't actually find it after thinking I saw it. But we could beat the snot out of them, too. Ha! Good win tonight. They're working hard, and the guys deserve some enjoyment from the game. Defense looks improved over last year, so props to Hall for showing growth in his role. I think Lagassey hit all of his attempts? If yes, good improvement on his part. We can argue all we want about if he should have been put in that role to begin with, but he was and he's there, obviously working to improve his performance.

Wow, we really it took to a team we've had trouble with during their worst season in a decade. And we're only slightly better.
I don't know what's going to happen with GaSo but Coastal has got a big ol' whuppin' stick with our name on it. And when it's all over at least half of you are going to cry, "They played tough as a team the whole time." instead of, "How in the blue hell did we fall behind these guys?! This should have never happened!"
The latter statement is how I feel and it's frustrating that so many of you default to the former. (The HC we don’t speak of) has made you happy just to have one point wins over I-AA teams and dancing in the street over beating struggling teams. Just three years ago none of that would have been tolerable.

The team is together and fighting/playing hard. Hey, don't play that card too many times! You're going to really need it after the Coastal game. Reverend (The HC we don’t speak of) got y'all drinking that cool-aid.
