We are having a rough season and the natives are restless. I would like to know about players and chances or not of coming back. Now there maybe HIPPA implications but that does not keep the players from Giving their own info or hopes and progress. Just may be placating to the mob at the city walls to know a little more about our hopes for guys the rest of the season. Also, our door dash, grub Hub, I am to dang lazy to go to McDonalds guy is he hurt to badly or are we down to a couple of running backs? I think it would help to be transparent in this regard. Knowing nothing is a hundred percent. For instance is Daughtery-Frye out for good?

I honestly know nothing, but I’d assume we have some guys who were borderline yesterday and were held out to be 100% for the SBC run. I could be wrong but I could at least understand that and it would make sense on some of the quietness. Wouldn’t want it out there that “these guys could play but we don’t need to win this game like we do our SBC game”.

I think it is funny to have “ deja vu all over again”. Isn’t that being redundant?

To be fair...
I understand not playing any guys that maybe could've played but weren't 100%. It makes more sense to have our injured players back 100% for all of these games that lie ahead, because we can at least make a bowl game or try and win the SBC East.
Playing borderline guys against Missouri wouldn't have done any bit of good for us in the long run, and of we're being honest, probably wouldn't have changed the outcome much.
I don't like the way things are going, but (The HC we don’t speak of) (The HC we don’t speak of) was in fact dealt a bad hand with all the key players that transferred out, and on top of that losing big players like BJ Smith, Demontrez Brown, Terence Dunlap, and Frye made matters worse.
We return an absolutely massive amount of experience next season, barring more people transfer out or become ineligible. Next season will be the year we find out if (The HC we don’t speak of) is the real deal or not.

I would counter that how a staff deals with adversity and coaching/teaching the players they have says a lot more about them than wins with a completely healthy team (see the second half of last season). I think we'll find out everything we need to know about (The HC we don’t speak of) as a head coach by the end of this season, and it won't be entirely in wins and losses. Forgive me for invoking his name, but I have to for comparison. Neal's first year was awful by way of wins/losses. But by god it felt like we won that App game that year even though it was a loss, and by year's end most of us felt good about him and his staff and where we were going. I expect the same here, one way or another.

I don’t to invoke politics but I must use a recent quote by former VP but here it goes: (goes along with being logical) “We will take truth over facts” Perception really determines what we think is truth and that is where logic collides with all of our opinions.

Funny how everyone was saying this was going to be the best team yet, 12-0 was a real possibility to now we are in a rebuilding year. Can't have your cake and eat it to.

I just spoke with someone in Athletics Administration about tickets and was told that there are at least 12 players who are injured and JDF is out for another few weeks. Again - this is not from Football or training staff.

I thought that was possible myself... but that was before Tron Folsom, Marcus Jones, Tyler Murray, Antoine Barker, and Sawyer Smith transferred out. Losing BJ Smith to injury certainly didn't help.

Some posters don’t even know who our players are, esp who our backup players are. They are aware of Barker, Smith, and a few others, that’s it. So they automatically assume this is a 12-0 team. Btw - next year will be tough, basically new OL, new QB, etc... yes DEF should be improved but it will take some games to get the OFF rolling. Most likely, we’ll be pretty competitive in 2021 and 2022, however 2020 will be a rebuilding year, offensively.

From the Mizzou game I saw our Center Bradshaw go down and Barker go down. Then I noticed DK Billingsly was out for the 2nd half too - was he hurt?

Our RB'S are going to get our qbs killed if they don't learn how to block. I saw a certain player "twice" step aside and let a blitzing LB take Barker's head off. Put the delivery kid in. I'll gurantee he will put effort into blocking if nothing else

The "delivery kid" was on the sideline with crutches at the end of the Mizzou game. We are down to two running backs.

How fast is the Screws kid? Good body and he could play 4 games without losing redshirt. Also give a strange dimension to our backfield. Watched some film on him from high school and looks pretty tough

Watched some film on him from high school and looks pretty tough I am talking as a running back Your talking about the possibility of using our third or fourth string QB as a viable option at running back due to the teams current situation and others are yelling on this board that Troy should fire the head coach or coaches after 4 games or giving ultimatums that if they don’t win the next one, heads will roll. Gotta love fandom.

And by playing QB he would probably block better

We could run a double back set with two guys running RPO’s. Would be innovative and confusing to defend.
