It’s gone... unfortunately. Cause our current coaching staff doesn’t care.

We are gonna be comparing all coaches to the Neal Brown staff until someone can prove to continue at his level or better. Neal Brown set a new standard at Troy. And I miss him.

I think you're right, but I'm not sure that's fair to CCL or whomever may follow him. We can, and should, expect the level of excellence brought to TROY by Neal Brown and his staff, but that can be achieved by a coach who is not his carbon copy. Success can be achieved by one with a personality that is a polar opposite of that of Neal Brown. That doesn't make either one right or wrong, it just makes them different.

I feel it is in a way disrespectful to the McCullars family not to continue this Number one because such a big deal was made of this in the past and number two because it was just a good thing to do to honor this player. Some continuity in these things leads to respect among the players

I would like to see TMTDM. It left to Morgantown. We got a DC that stayed at a Holiday Inn Express

Success can be achieved by one with a personality that is a polar opposite of that of Neal Brown. That doesn't make either one right or wrong, it just makes them different. To me and this is just me, I would say this is not about NB Vs CL being polar opposite. Its one simple thing and one thing only at this point and that is the defense has not worked from the beginning and has not progressed. Yes we have seen some spurts every now and then but we are still giving up way to many yards and points to win. The Offense seem to be working enough but the defense can not and will not work under the leadership (DC) they are given. So we go back to one simple thing and that is to fire the DC and promote within or make a new hire. CL if you don't make this move and go to Missouri and get the brakes beat off you (By the way I hope that does not happen) you could be the next simple thing and the simple thing only. CL clean it up and lets get back to the Troy Trojans winning ways. "Again this is just me saying".

I'm not disagreeing with you, but trying to look at it from the other side. Corey was someone CNB and his staff new, he was a member of their team. CCL did not know him or his family. Not saying it should end, but maybe make some sense of why the award is not a thing anymore.

Sure, we know that is was something started by the previous staff, but does that mean it should stop because they're gone? Who started sing the fight song after wins? When did the team start joining SoTS after games? Sometimes good things last because they're good things.

When I was in HS 1982-86 we had an athletic award called The Ronald Bostick Award. Named after a young man who died trying to save a drowning child. Ronald died in 1972 and my HS still gives out that award

When I was a student at Troy back in 2003, I had an academic award created named after a friend of mine who passed away. That award is still given out every year even though there's no one left who knows who he was.

Like I said... this coaching staff doesn’t care... It’s a what can Troy do for me, not a what I can do for Troy mentality.

As long as this staff has the same success as the previous staff and leaves the program in excellent condition most people will be happy.

At least NB acted like he cared. Whatâs the evidence you have that (The HC we don’t speak of) does not care ? Or the the other coaches ?
