Way too early. I am not getting excited during off season anymore. T.Samuel had a great spring camp last year and then he got suspended and kicked off the team.

He should be good. I do worry about our corners without Blace and Marcus though.

Why they got burned all the time 🤔 Uh if you say so. Uhhh what season did you watch?...Marcus had a good freshman year...but his sophomore wasnt that great...his return skills is what really makes him good...he only had 1 return for a td this past season which was against coastal carolina...enough said. Looked like he lost his vision to me. Blace had a good year at troy but it wasnt this past season...somebody that runs a 4.7 40 yard dash is usually gonna get beat compared to someone running a 4.4 in the 40 yard dash...that's why teams always torched us in the secondary. I'm pretty sure they can find some guys to replace them...we have a tremendous run stop defense but let's be honest if you wanna beat troy all you have to do is throw the ball

Loyalty to a school is one thing, but I can understand not having loyalty to a new staff. What he did wasn't much different from what Neal Brown did. He saw an opportunity to advance his career and took it.

So the young man transfers to an unknown "new staff" at an unknown school? He wasn't paid $3.5 mil either. Suppose we'll see how far this advances his career?

His Troy teammates seem to be supportive of his decision, though. Their friendships aren't necessarily dependent on whether Marcus plays for Troy or not.

Coaches leave and the players get stuck. Coaches show no loyalty either but they get to leave and coach immediately but a player has to sit a year. Such is life with the NCAA

I guess it’s the off season on this board and one has to make off the wall statements to keep this sucker alive.

He has the size and tools but with JUCO players you have to worry about them staying eligible (not always but we have lost many to grades) and as NB said they usually don't come around to year two so we will see. 6"5 can offset some bad throws that is for sure. We will find out soon enough what impact he has but he gives us a size advantage we haven't had in a few seasons.

I guess it’s the off season on this board and one has to make off the wall statements to keep this sucker alive. Well now, let's just examine the original post and your assertion. If you will take the time to read the entire thing, you will see that the title of the post was formatted as a question. No "off the wall statement" was made, a question was asked. In the body of the post itself, the first thing stated was "I know it's early and this is only one pass in spring practice session". I agree with you that it's one "business as usual catch". In the remainder of the the post I pointed out his height and the fact that we hadn't had any one with that kind of height before. Though the catch was "business as usual", when it was made, the ball was still higher than the defender's head and the catch was made with the receiver's feet on the ground. I pointed out how that height advantage could be of benefit. In light of the above, I don't feel the question posed is that unreasonable. If we have a 6'5" receiver who has what appears to be (granted in one video) good hands he could well be one of the best JUCO transfers we've ever had. Yes it's off season, and yes we sometimes reach for topics to discuss and I though I might get some insight from folks who have seen multiple practices. Maybe they could say " Yeah, he's really good and is going to help out a lot" or "don't let one video fool you because 6'5" is all he has going for him". If you want to offer an opinion on the post and the question that was asked, I'm all ears. If, however, you just want to be hypercritical of things said, at least be honest in your criticism and don't imply that someone has made "off the wall statements" when the only statements made were factual ones involving the young man's height and the thought that said height would be an advantage.
