Week 2 bye week. Makeshift bye weeks around South Alabama. More difficult games are at the end of the year. Gives us time to adjust to (The HC we don’t speak of)'s systems. Arkansas State early, but I'm not sure they're going to be that good this year. They lose a lot of good players and the program itself is facing some tough issues. troytrojans.com/news/2019/3/1/troys-2019-football-schedule-announced.aspx

Will be interesting to see what the crowd will be like for the App game.

Not a fan of the continued South weeknight game, it dumbs down the rivalry we are trying to have. The only reason the last 3 years has had good attendance for this game (home and away) is because both schools made awesome deals with the students for food, tickets, transportation and exemption from classes. The working man / woman can't make these games. The App State game blows my mind too. Sun Belt should see this game as a huge opportunity for revenue and exposure. Having it on Thanksgiving weekend again does neither team any good. Move this game up a few weeks next season, sure it won't "all come down to this" but none the less, it's a huge game regardless of the date. The end of the schedule is gonna be rough! I don't like the early bye week either.... dang I'm negative.

two of what should be our biggest home conference games are on wednesday night and Thanksgiving weekend. At least Ark St, Ga So and S. Miss are saturday games- We should have great attendance for those. I would guess that the Ga So game (11/9)is going to be homecoming.
edit: Ga So is homecoming game per Troy Athletics write up

It's not the worst schedule I've seen. I like that we have a cupcake for the opener so we can see how the new coach's system will work and an extra week to work out any kinks. Aside from winning conference I hope we at least have a change to knock of Mizzou in their house.

It’s loaded with home games early. Oh Lawd the heat. I would prefer home games later. Oh well, I’ll still go.

I'd much rather play App St. early. especially next year. It's cold in Boone, NC at Thanksgiving. Play South the last game if you really want to make it a rivalry. Only one weekday game and it's at home so that's not too bad

I give it a 6/10. I am sorry but they need to make Troy/USA on a Saturday. I get the want for student involvement, but alot of fans and alumni can not do a day game, and for season ticket holders who can not attend due to work or family, its a bad investment to me. Do not want to fight, but it's my opinion

They are the real deal and will challenge for a title.

I'm hopefully going to Akron for the Zipper game. My birthplace and a ton of family there. Also one of my HS teamates son starts at LG for them (started all 12 games as a freshman. Troy offered him but got their panties in a wad when he couldn't attend a Wednesday camp over the summer and Troy decided to go with another player that has yet to see the field. My rant). The Zippers have a new coach so not sure what to expect from them and I've got to have bragging rights with this game.
I don't understand South on a weekday. Is the school that hard up for TV money or does the Sun Belt dictate conference games. You can't have your "Rivalry game" during the week. STUPID!!!!

Kinda bummed about the App State game date. We have reserved seats in 110 up near the concourse but we will be in Europe. 😔

However there are two schools of thought as far as ESPN is concerned. 1) If we are going to put on a Wednesday game from a G5 we might as well have one where more than “ the Cherry Pop Tart Turnover Bowl crowd”. Or 2). Gosh I hate Troy and USA developing a rivalry! I think we will put them on a Wednesday nite. That ought to teach those whipper snappers a thing or two!! I think it is the former.

Play it on a Sat it could be one of the biggest draws for both schools. The Sun Belt has to know this and they still do it

Had the same issue with MTSU. Weekday games in general suck, but we are beholden to ESPN forever. We should be grateful its only one game. But at least make it a Thursday so I get a long weekend rather than having to take a random day off midweek to drive home.

I don't like the early bye week either.... dang I'm negative. It's not possible to the pull kids out of school and take time off work for a weekday game and we're traveling out of town for Thanksgiving. We just can't justify season tickets when we know we will miss at least 33% of the games. If TROY adopted the same ticketing system as the Pensacola Blue Wahoos where you can put your tickets up for sale and when the tickets sell they credit your account, we would be all in! Surf Report:we have cloudy skies, air temp is 68, water is 66, wind is blowing 8-10 mph out of the SSE. The low tide was at 4:33 am and the high tide will be at 5:51 pm. Surf is running knee to thigh, but it's building fast with the increasing winds and approaching front!

To them, it is easier to purchase tickets through stubhub for the games they are going to attend. It is more expensive per game, but cheaper than a season package. I've thought about doing this at Troy, but I figure the tickets I don't use and give away are a donation.
