um.... what in the world is the coaching staff doing? Has nothing to do with the coaching staff. This is a me decision. Thinks he can get into a better position for the next level at a different school. His prerogative. Next man up.

I would say you are right it has not thing to do with this coaching staff but everything to do with Neal a Brown leaving. Again you are right, it is next man up, always has been and always will be.

Tron’s Speed will be hard to replace. Never exactly know what goes on in any individuals mind. I respect his decision with this caveat: retrospectively will he look at it in the same way? Good luck and YES NEXT MAN UP!!!

Hate to see him leave ... he's been a good one. Also, seems there might've been some issues at end of season ... looked like he was suspended for first half of bowl? and he got into with Coach Brown during second half?? So, he might've already been thinking of something other than Troy. He might be a "tweener" at next level ... but he sure seems to be around the ball a lot! Wonder what the market will be for him? If he doesn't find what he wants ... wonder if he'd be welcomed back? I think there's good bit of young talent coming along too

Thanks for the memories buddy. Next!

i hope this isn’t the beginning of a trend that leaves mid majors as a “minor league” for the “major league” power 5. I hope the new way of thinking isn’t to develop into a star at a mid major then transfer to a power 5 to get better exposure for the NFL. That’s been my fear for a while now and it seems like the NCAA has been very permissive in transfers playing immediately. That doesn’t necessarily apply here because he’s a grad transfer if I’m understanding correctly. It may be natural for him if he’s graduated and the staff he has played for until now is gone so why not test the waters? I suppose I get it on some level even though I don’t like it!

Cool name. I never did understand how players transfer like this. Weird that he would leave the team and all his buds. I could understand if he wasn't a starter. Does this guy have any NFL potential? I don't think I have ever seen a 209lb LB in the NFL or does he play more safety for y'all?

He is going to be a grad transfer. Funny how all of you get excited when we sign one but can't understand when one of our players does it. If he earned his degree all the best and next Trojan up.

My problem with this, if a player is good, the NFL will find you. Ask Ware, Osi, McKelvin, etc.

My issue with this, he likely got an education, gratis.. and owes Troy a year. Same as Micah Grimes, Jonathan Massaquoi etc to name a few.

If he graduated-we should thank him for being such a model student.

Guess it's ok when the shoe is on the other foot. Purpose of any student/athlete or student when they enroll is to earn a degree. Football afforded this young man the opportunity to do that. He did his part and I wish him the best.
