I know its pretty dead right now, but something I was thinking about I wanted to bring to the table - It seems when Brown was hired he brought a lot of hype into the football program. You could feel the change from day 1. When he spoke you could feel his passion and energy. He implemented the weekly workout warriors, and leadership awards for the athletes (already started at WVU). I'm not seeing that anymore, and I thought that was huge - but thats just one example. It may be WAY to early to tell, but with (The HC we don’t speak of) i'm just not feeling it right off the bat like I did with Brown. I know every coach is going to have their different flavor and strategy, but just curious to know what everyone's overall thoughts are on (The HC we don’t speak of) and the new hires.

I think it’s a wait and see from a lot of people. I’m certainly taking that approach. I had no doubt when Neal Brown arrived that we would win as he stated in his opening press conference.

Pay attention to social media. They have been doing a lot of hype, showing the morning workouts, players in the weight room, etc.

I’m still not jumping up and down like I want to be but time will tell. One thing I can say that I am truly happen and excited about is Jordan Lesley is no longer apart of this program.

This. XCNB came in when the program was rock bottom and the best hype coming from the staff before was âawww shucks, letâs go get something to eatâ. It was easy to see the difference with XCNB because it went from zero to 90.

You can take the coach out of EMJC but you can't take the EMJC out of the coach. No place for that crap. I agree with you

Needs changed from the point when Neal Brown was hired to when (The HC we don’t speak of) (The HC we don’t speak of) was hired. It reminds me of how Troy needed a John Hartwell type on the heels of the Steve Dennis era (rah-rah guy, mover and shaker, etc.). Because so much changed during Hartwell's short time, we didn't need another Hartwell. Those changes needed time to take full effect. Jeremy McClain is a quieter guy, but the marketing moves he and the staff made were the perfect complement to the momentum of the Hatwell era (and the Neal Brown hire).
We may not need as much rah-rah this time since the program is heading in the right direction. (The HC we don’t speak of) may very well be the right hire to manage the momentum and supplement it with his recruiting ability. His first partial class certainly impressed me.

Everyone who knows me knows I wanted Jon Sumrall like a fat kid wanted cake, but heâs back home in Kentucky now and all is right in the world. I agree with some of the other comments. CNB came in at a time where we needed a complete overall, attitude, charisma and anything else you can think of. He was the perfect guy at the perfect time. Coach (The HC we don’t speak of) is here at a perfect time, he doesnât need to be a rah-rah guy, he just has to keep the momentum rolling.

Kind of an awkward business guy who worked like a fiend and expected everyone else to do like wise. When I think of raw raw I think of roe your boat dude running down the sidelines and coach Roid HUD from ULA La La bashing his head on folks. Business like and methodical with EXPECTATIONS AND CONSEQUENCES IF THEY ARE NOT MET guy is fine with me. I donât know how many of you remember Colon Powell being interviewed when the first gulf war started and he was asked what he and Stormin Norm Swartzcoff had in mind for the military as far as the Iraqi army was concerned? His response was âwe are going to find them a kill themâ. That was the totality of his response. Getting things done in a no nosense fashion without a great deal of hoopla other than from the fans and those who are in charge of hoopla is fine with me

Anything less than 10 wins this season would be an utter disappointment.
