We were winning throughout the first half and finished the first half up by two points. However, we never could find the range from the floor all night, shooting 4-20 from 3 point range. Additionally, we played very sloppy (23 turnovers). All of that equaled a loss for the men on the road at Little Rock on Thursday night. Sounds like Little Rock played a lot of "small ball" against us (4 guard lineup) and our big men had a hard time adjusting. For example, JV had 23 points and 11 rebounds but also 8 turnovers and no assists. No one else on the team reached double figures in scoring.
Hopefully, the men will play much better against Arkansas St. on Saturday.
Go Trojans!

Wait a minute... where's all the folks who come on the basketball forum thumping their chest everytime Troy actually wins a game or two??
You folks were over here just over a week ago touting the unbelievable 4-game win streak. But since Troy has gotten obliterated by Coastal and a sub-300 RPI Little Rock, you've vanished?
Buehler?

I can't speak for the rest of the group, but I actually was the one who started the thread (even though they lost) and was the one who was commending their victories a few week's ago. Let's hope they turn it around today against Arkansas State! Go Trojans!!

It goes without saying, it's not good to lose - EVER. That said, I've commented on a couple of games this year. I, however, wasn't in Little Rock Thursday night, nor did I see the game on ESPN + (which I hate, BTW) so I don't think I have anything to offer. I see no point in commenting on a game I didn't see .Maybe others feel the same.

I feel bad for seniors like Varnado and Hicks, who have stepped up to be some of the best players in the Sun Belt since they arrived on campus a few years ago... and they have a coach that doesn't give them the best chance to win.
