Who would you have preferred to be the OC (btw - in name only as (The HC we don’t speak of) WILL call the plays aka Neal Brown). Â Just curious, who would have made you happy at OC? DC? Special Teams? Oh I dont know...maybe someone with more than 3 years of coaching and who actually had called a play but that's just me. Hope I eat Crowe on this also OK, so one in particular, just NOT the one we got. I was actually looking for a name. Oh well.

I just pointed out he has zero experience as a OC and very little as a coach. I'll eat crow fried, sauted, broiled, baked, grilled, rotisereed, blackened, smothered, covered, chopped, cubed, diced, or raw as long as we win. Won't be the first time or last time and I'm man enough to admit if I'm wrong.

Kicker was also greatly improved. More to special teams than making kicks..like KO returns, punt returns, punt coverage, KO coverage and kick blocks. I would love to see Marcus or someone else have the year he did in 2017. Those help win games and demoralize an opponent. Don't get me wrong, I love the fact we were #1 in PAT and FG made

You will be happier.

Another coaching addition being reported by Football Scoop Troy: Sources tell FootballScoop Louisiana Monroe receivers / recruiting coordinator John Carr is expected to join (The HC we don’t speak of) (The HC we don’t speak of)âs staff as inside receivers / passing game coordinator. Prior to joining Matt Viatorâs staff at ULM, Carr spent two seasons as assistant head coach / offensive coordinator at Jones County (JC â MS) and before that three seasons with Todd Monkenâs staff at Southern Miss. From 2005-12 Carr was head coach at Ouachita Parish High School (LA). footballscoop.com/the-scoop-2/scoop-wednesday-january-16-2019/

This is a nice addition to Cornelius Williams (if he's staying on).

By my count we have at least five guys from Neal's staff: Hardmon, Williams, Blackmon, Hall, and Smooth. That will help with continuity. Not sure why Cornelius didn't follow Brown...

Having Coach Hardmon back with Zo Bridges and Tron Folsom gearing up for big senior years will be huge for us. We bring back all linebackers from the two deep (not counting the bandit LB / DE position).
