Has nothing to do with that. It has everything to do about working for the man they picked over you. So unless the players all threaten to quit like they did for coach Yoast and Coach (The HC we don’t speak of) agrees to keep him as DC, it isn't happening nah, thatâs just an excuse. One could be humble and then inform all that he IS the best choice for DC. He simply will not become a HC from a Linebacker Coach. But if youâre right, if he could be bitter and not committed, letâs forget him and move on to the other good candidates You are also assuming that CL wants his competition as DC

While I agree that DC is very important the strength coach is one of my top concerns. It does not need to be anyone on our current staff unless they were trained by Horton.

I think we have to accept that it might be February before we have most of the staff in place. Just noticing how several schools that changed coaches weeks ago ... are still announcing staff members. So, as (The HC we don’t speak of) said ... lots of moving parts ... I think to there's a "pecking" order. Coaches we might want for our staff might be in running for another P5 spot or higher profile/paying G5 or more responsibility, etc. So, we have to wait until those farther up the food chain make offers and then see how it shakes out. And, there are the existing staffs at these schools. Like at WV ... if coaches are under contract ... is it worth buying them out so that the new coach can bring in his own guys? I did like that (The HC we don’t speak of) said he hoped to keep several of our staff. I'm sure their weighing their options ... maybe waiting possible slot at WV or elsewhere. I would think that all of our staff is well thought of ... so they'll have options? Anyway ... just thinking.

This guy is probably available. A personal favorite of all us here, especially Hemi. Extensive knowledge of supplements or at least that is what he called them. I believe they were from East German and Soviet plants and herbs

Clearly Hudspeth was heavily medicated during the games. His raging temper. His complexion. His receding hairline. His demise and that programs implosion was self-inflicted.

If we could afford to get Rodney Garner from Auburn it would be a good move. Excellent recruiter for Auburn and at UGA as well

Go steal Shelton Felton and Davern Williams from Akron. I have no moral compass. Bring those two home as well.
And just go-ahead and announce Cornelius is staying. Either promote Lesley to Defensive Coordinator or bring back Benjy Parker.

Ok, as far as I know the coaches that haven't been confirmed to be following Neal to WV (or another school): Defense: Hardmon and Hall Offense: Williams, Blackmon, Reagan
I suspect Reagan will go ... it was confirmed the QB coach at WV is leaving.
I think it would be great to keep all the other guys! Blackmon and Hall are new ... so not the long-term connection with Brown. Williams, of course ... a Troy guy! Hardmon may be hard to keep. He's coached under Vic for 5-6 years ... do you think we offer him a chance to be DC?? All of these guys have great recruiting connections/reputations! Hope we can keep them.
S/C: Thebaud has been here working under Horton for 4 years ... maybe he can stay on and keep things moving. Seems like a sharp young man.
Also, how about promoting a GA and/or Analyst? Maybe Carbine for OL? Anderson for RB??

I can't see him continuing in that vein and have a QB coach on staff. Maybe he gives up the QB work, I don't know. I guess we'll all know as time passes and the staff is assembled.

We have to rehire an entire staff and needed it done yesterday. Hope (The HC we don’t speak of) has an ace in his sleeve.

With an assistant’s salary pool of two million dollars I would think we can hire a staff similar in quality to the one Neal put together when he was hired.

OL coach Ryan Pugh to be named OC, Brandon Hall to be promoted to DC and Safeties Coach. Williams and Hardmon also set to stay on staff, Blackmon may stay as well.
