And why would Holgerson leave WVA to go to Houston? Am I missing something here? Saw one of the stories address this. Seems this year might've been his best chance to win something at WVA ... and didn't. So maybe he realizes that you just can't win big there? And, it said he keeps a home in Houston ... like it's "home"?? Also, a story mentioned that Houston has a "Billionaire" (yes ... with a B) supporter who is also friends with Holgerson. This supporter wants to make Houston a Major program! We saw with Oregon what a billionaire supporter (Nike dude) can do to a program! So, Troy needs one of those!! One of you guys needs to go out and invent some really cool tech ... or cure the common cold ... or at least hit a really big powerball!!

Meanwhile Alabama with two uniform combinations and facilities that wouldn't be in the top 10 in the country is the premier program. Money and facilities help but it boils down to two things 1) coaching 2) recruiting

When my Jimmies & Joes are 90% 5 stars as starters and you have 50% 5 stars - I will beat you. And most of the 5 stars are on the D Line and O Line where games are won, especially deep into the 4th quarter. Read an article that in last years Natty - alabama was 18 stars better than Georgia for the starting 22. I may be wrong but AL had 18 stars better. You line up 22 starters with 18 5* against 22 with 18 4* or lower - who SHOULD win? Recruiting is where you win college football games.

Ron Zook was a master recruiter at UF. Couldn't win. Myer won his first Championship with Zook's recruits. Point was facilities and 28 different uniforms help but Alabama has two uniforms and not even the best facilities in the SEC. Coaching has, does now and always will matter. Don't believe that...look at our defense under Rowell and Bolt and then under VK. Took the same group and made them eat lightning and crap thunder

Don't believe that...look at our defense under Rowell and Bolt and then under VK. Took the same group and made them eat lightning and crap thunder Still have to coach them - very true! But the reason Coach Saban is so great is because he coaches and his players control the locker room. In other words, if you don't buy into the process, the players get rid of you, not Coach Saban. Ask anybody that played for Blakeney and now Neil Brown, the reason our team has excelled was because people like Josh Anderson, Justin Lucas, Deondre Douglas, Tron Folsom, Cedarius Rookard - I bet you they have run some players off before the coach had to. When the team wins, they win! But I will say this, give me 18 5* recruits more than you and I may not be as good of a coach but I have a hell of chance of beating anybody before the game starts. And for the record, if you think all is fair in football when it comes to Alabama in the SEC, Oklahoma/Texas in the Big 12, Michigan/Ohio State in the Big 10 and USC in the Pac 12 please bring that dope you are smoking over because that is some really good $h!+

Alabama is cleaner than most programs. It is a multi billion dollar business and Saban can't control what wealthy boosters do just like other big time schools. Been wondering if Tua's brother and family were paid to move to Alabaster and father given a new job?

They aren't the best in the SEC. That honor went to TX A&M. Ok, Maybe Top 10 but behind IMO A&M, Oregon, Michigan and Ohio St. Also if it ever gets into pure money for facilities my money will be on Notre Dame but just my opinion.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you've never actually seen Alabama's facilities have you? Saying they aren't Top 10, or at the very least Top 5, is pretty silly.

Going by ESPN that listed TX A&M hands down the tops in the SEC. Oregon is hands down #1 and I have seen Ohio States but ultimately its a subjectve view on who has the best. Bama wins and that trumps anyones facilities
