Lost to Austin Peay for the second year in a row... this time at home. We had a better win percentage in the Concrete Box than we currently do in Trojan Arena since it has been opened.
By the way, Austin Peay only has 2 wins so far... against Oakland City (who is Division II) and Central Connecticut State. Add Troy to that group of elite names that Austin Peay has beaten. It's time to fire Phil Cunningham people... we haven't made any significant progress since Cunningham came in.
Thank God for Chanda Rigby and her ladies. That's the only enjoyable part about Troy's entire basketball program.

During the season is never the right time to fire a HC, just what would that accomplish?? Now, if at season end and no progress is demonstrated, a serious employment review may be justified. Despite all the doom and gloom, the current mrs. and I have attended over 30 basketball and volleyball games and numerous other events in that fine Arena! I think we attended one basketball game in the prior 9 years at Sartain.

We just can't go another year with this kind of basketball... it's Maestri-ball all over again, but less effective. Troy is #187 in the country in 3-point shooting percentage... we're taking 3-point shots that don't need to be taken because we're so poor at driving to the basket. When you go 4 of 26 in 3-pointers against Austin freaking Peay, you have big issues.

Cunningham will still be the coach no matter if he wins or not.

He also created excitement and packed the concrete box out. Please bring him back! #MakeTroyBasketballFunAgain

Cunningham will still be the coach no matter if he wins or not. You're correct. That tournament appearance years ago doomed this program. I say make Rigby the coach...seriously.
