Can I just say that I was TOTALLY impressed with and proud of Underwood's performance Saturday. I think you could put a trashcan out around the T of Trojans and he could hit it . Was really glad that CNB highlighted him in this weeks interview.

I commented on that during the game. Both weeks have been exceptional.

I was surprised to see Legassy still dressed out. He couldn't hit water from a boat.

Legassey had one punt for 36 yds vs FAMU. I don’t remember it but I heard it on the post game and looked it up in the box score.

Well, that's an improvement from shanking 25 yard field goals Trot your A** out there and drill one then. Spot on. Kicking isn't easy. Try kicking the ball through an upright, with a rush and the pressure. I played and I never would want to be the kicker

If a wide receiver dropped every pass I would say the same thing. My eligibility expired in 1992

He got a medical redshirt last year, that could be the basis for his inaccuracy. That's the coaches call. He and I have a deal. He doesn't tell me how to practice law and I don't tell him how to coach football.

Scholarships are 1 year renewable. If the coaching staff thinks he isn't doing the job they won't tie up a scholarship on a kicker they don't need. Until then he's a 18-19 year old kid that's probably trying as hard as he can. Sometimes great HS players don't transition to the next level, same as great college players are sometimes busts as pros. As far as I know the kid has done the right things off the field and in the class room, he choked on kicks. If he doesn't turn it around he will be gone, until then we will see.

Positive thread turned negative by guess who?? Yea. The dude sucks. AAAUUUGH, bro I'm SO SICK of it. I started this thread intentionally to say a positive, nice thing and what does that guy do? Geeez. gotroygo, you've taken a completely uncalled for cheap shot at a Troy player. Shall we open a thread and highlight all the absolutely unintellectual drivel you've spewed on here to try and get you to think more than twice before you post or to recognize just how many of us sit at our devices and read your posts and think "is that gooch over there drooling into a flippin' cup"? G O O D G R I E F!!! You are Cliff Clavin, without any of the endearing humor. I'm totally done with you and I'm totally over having much of a filter about it in the future.

There is enough pollution in the atmosphere as it is.

There was a big deal a couple of years ago and the result ended up being many schools offering 4-year guarantees including Troy.

Why people get so emotional on a fan message board is still perplexing no matter how many times I see it.

I know we were D2 at the time with 35 scholarships but after Spring you met with the coaches and found out if your scholarship was renewed or cut back on.

I thought Sumpter was pulling double duty? Would help him out.

Not true anymore. There was a big deal a couple of years ago and the result ended up being many schools offering 4-year guarantees including Troy. Maybe he punts better than he kicks field goals. I thought Sumpter was pulling double duty? Would help him out. Sumpter punted 4 times for an average of 44.3 yds/per. He had a long of 50 yds that yielded a net return of 0. That booming leg ain't going nowhere. Given that he kicked 12 times Saturday night (8 PATs 4 punts) he had probably earned a break, especially since the outcome was no longer in doubt Unless Legassey really steps it up, he isn't replacing Sumpter as PK and, barring injury, he sure isn't replacing him as punter. I don't see them sharing kicking duties to any greater extent than they did Saturday night.

Don’t think I’ll burn 10 minutes listening to a California liberal’s pyschobabble. I’m sure she has a decent point or two.

This is completely apolitical. And true. Could be the most valuable thing someone watches today. I won't spoon feed you. Watch it or don't. This explains a LOT about every individual on this board regarding negativity.
