Fully aware it's a big business. But major programs like Stanford and Duke wouldn't touch those players with a ten foot pole. They still win and get to bowl games. Those coaches also get higher salaries than Neal Brown

No assumption with the player. You’re second guessing Neal Brown on a regular basis is ridiculous. No, I'm asking when do you draw the line. Rules are useless if you keep getting forgiven for breaking them. At least we are suspending rule breakers but how many times do you keep giving them chances? As long as it isn't actually hurting the team, if the person in charge thinks a young man on the wrong path can be helped, I'm all for it. I'm not a fan of Hendersons. Never have been because I don't have the patience for his attitude. But that's why I'm not an educator. Yes, there is a line. But better for all involved if consistent discipline can help make this young man a better adult. This appears to be a strength for Neal. He knows where the line between "me" and "team" is and he/his staff balance that with being coach and educator to the individual.

Neal Brown took Sunderland because he was a projected starter for OU. I hope the kid has learned his lesson. I will question any player thrown out of another school. Hopefully the coaches won't take many more. Neal Brown is ultimately held accountable for every decision, good or bad, involving Troy football. I’m confident he’s know a lot more about every kid he accepts into the program. Even more than you read on the internet or heard down at the local watering hole. I've been going to Troy games for 30 years. Haven't been to the front porch in over 20 years if you're talking about watering holes. What makes you the expert?

It turned out that way... but it could have gone the other way with him being an all Sun Belt running back. I liked to watch him play. Unfortunate for him and us.

You don’t understand sponsorships. You don’t understand bowl games. You don’t understand football. You can’t count obviously since you don’t know the difference in 18,000 and 25,000. Shall I continue? The Front Porch hasn’t changed a bit since you were last there.

I'm sure you fly an American flag to show your patriotism along with wearing a Make America Great Again Baseball Cap. If you must know I grew up with a father that spent 22 years in the army with 2 tours in Korea 3 1/2 tours in Vietnam. In the 35 plus years that I had with him he spoke of the horrors, only twice, of war that he had to deal with and decisions he had to make to ensure he and others made it home. I remember countless nights of him waking up drenched in sweat and screaming due to what he endured to serve his country. Now when I say that I appreciate your service or anyone else’s in 100% genuine. I can’t tell you how to take it. Me disagreeing with you on any or every single post on here is nothing personal. If you choose to make personal that falls solely on you.

Even Col Jessup wanted to be "thanked" for providing the "blanket of freedom" under which Kaffee sleeps. I suppose that when all of us who have never worn the uniform stand on 29 September and applaud your service and that of your brothers in arms, and we express overwhelming appreciation of the freedom it has provided us, you'll be giving us the figurative finger, if not an actual one.

Troy gets a high 6 figure paycheck. Yes, we beat LSU but that was due to us having a better team last year, and Coach O being schooled by Neal Brown. Nebraska has Scott Frost.
