Cornhole avoid dawgtown at all cost. Too many dawg. I know a certain Ramblin' Wreck that could handle his own in that town. All he has to do is use his superior knowledge of the English language to keep them baffled while he enjoys the game! I guess you could consider him a “Dawg Whisperer” 😜

But, I actually pull for Troy and won't say anything negative about it, unlike some people... Hmmm.
What some people fail to realize is that recruits read this board every day... I know from experience.

I know from experience. Now Possum, there are those of us who understand that tongue-in-cheek kidding is done quite a bit on boards and after all being in the Deep South like Troy and Athens BOTH are the dialect will be pretty much the same or close to it. From now on we will have to denote our postings with an asterisk if it is tongue-in-cheek for the individuals who may not have the cognitive abilities to discern when this is being done. So guys remember an asterisk and then a disclaimer of "this is a joke and we are only kidding". After all I think the recruits we have can discern the difference but just in case a recruit from an area unfamiliar with our type of humor were to be recruited we should try to keep it in mind.

My mom's family is from the mountains of Tennessee. I'm 50 and still learning the language. Any city ending in vile is pronounced vull...Nashvull, Knoxvull etc. Chatanooga is pronounced Chatnuga. Other things: yueenz- your group or family. Mater- tomato. Baur- bear. Crook- creek. Holler- pretty much any area close to my cousins homes. Taters- any potato, hash browns or fries soder pop - soft drink. Yeller- yellow Well H%#! Faur- pretty much used in any sentence
