We had a great season and we've acknowledged the contributions of Silvers, Chunn, the receiving corps, the defense....all of whom earned the praise coming our way. As we do this, let's not forget Tyler Sumpter. He came in after the SoBama game and turned a disasterous kicking game into what it should be - automatic. If my memory is correct, he had one FG blocked and he missed one after he took over. I'm not ready to say he "saved" our season, but he was a game changer for us. The team rallied around him and his consistency allowed the staff to concentrate on things other than PATs. Good job Tyler, and thanks.

That reminds me. Does anyone know why we went for two after the second TD?
No complaints as it worked, just a little unusual.

That reminds me. Does anyone know why we went for two after the second TD? No complaints as it worked, just a little unusual. Lined up for this after the first TD to see their defense. Pulled the trigger on the second when they knew how to execute. Created uncertainty on a defense already struggling with how to handle us. One more reason they ran to CUSA to hide.

Sumpter came in and stopped the bleeding, allowed coaches to stop worrying about XP's and "easy" FG's. He was a big part of the tun around. If you remember during the loss to South, we had 4th and short in FG range, but had no confidence in the previous 2 kickers. Had Sumpter been our kicker at that time, he goes out and probably hits it and puts us up 3-0. As you know, the rest is history in that game.

Loved going for two, it was awesome! Sumpter did a great job and gave me one less thing to B**** about.

"Lol at all the kids in high school that made fun of me for going to Troy because "they suck". 2017 Conference Champs, beat LSU, and back to back bowl game champs. 🤷🏻♂️ I LOVE MY TEAM ⚔️ #OneTroy #RTW"

Kinda like when we scored 3 TDs and a FG at the end of the 1st half against TXST.
