total attendance was 24,900. We had more than half of the attendance. Well more, in my estimation. How easily we become jaded. I was sitting here reading your post and was feeling disappointed the attendance wasn't better. I think that's a valid emotion, it would have been great to see 40,000 there. If, however, your estimate that TROY fans made up more than half the attendance, that means more than 12,500 fans TRAVELLED to New Orleans at the beginning of the holiday season to see the TROJANS play. 12,500! When I attended my first TROY game in '95, we weren't putting 12,500 in the Vet for a HOME game. That was the stadium's capacity at the time and we weren't selling out. 22 short years later, look where we are. I dare say that there are few, if any, programs that have increased their attendance by >100% in the past 22 years. I'm going on record as saying, "It's great to be a TROY TROJAN". I doubt any other bowl had a total attendance if 12,500. Not bad for s little old country school!👍🏽

Either way, it was an awesome day.

It was awesome to see so many people walking around NO wearing TROY gear yesterday. It seemed like everywhere you looked there was someone in TROY gear. We definitely outnumbered those green guys. We are a growing program and it is awesome to be along for the ride. The best comment I heard was when we ate lunch there were some people sitting next to use that asked us if we were there for the game...etc. Then they started talking about how TROY was leaving the rest of the athletic programs in the dust in every sport, that we were the best run athletic program in the belt etc. AWESOME TO BE A TROJAN!!
