More worried about keeping Vic Koenning. We need to give him a good raise. Ditto

No big surprise. KE and Steve played together and coached together in the past. They are also good friends. Not sure what the system for play calling here was. We had two co-oc's but NB stating he called the plays? I'm sure that we will just have one OC now with Moore. I agree. Matt will most likely be sole OC and we will find another position coach. Maybe promote Levi Brown which would be cool imho.

"Way to go, Kenny! I hope you and the turncoat kick our asses next year!"
Nah, I wish KE no harm until he gets his feelings hurt at the Troy game when we stomp them flat. No more, no less.

I liked Kenny - thought he helped bring in some really good players and thought he developed some players very well Like any coach - a good run is about 10 years and to some degree we are predictable imo - good for Kenny and his family - he's a great guy and have always enjoyed talking with him So, if Troy is predictable, is that the OC's fault or the HBC? He calls the plays...

Should open some opportunities for GAs on staff, Levi Brown to name one.
I believe KDs responsibilities on game day, primarily was to inform Neal of defensive participants, possible schemes, ETC, then they would bounce those variables to their charts, determine priority and check downs, signal to the O, and see what happens. All if this, BTW, in about 3-4 seconds.
For Practices, I developed receivers primarily.
Not always a fan of the play calling, but I always understood the why.
I think Neal kept Kenny until a better, fresh opportunity came along for KD.
Prediction: Look for an acorn from the Mum/Leach/Franklin/Brown tree to land in Troy as OC.

I prefer that guy upstairs to call plays and let Neil be head coach! Up top he sees the routes coverage, defensive schemes and player placement much better that it can be seen in the sideline. Let’s hire a really good reasonably young spread offense specialists but one with good history for doing this!

I understand, but hard to argue 20-5 with the current process. Seems to be working. Lots and lots of head coaches call their own plays.
Guy in the box ABSOLUTELY sees that. Passing down to coach, with the "game feel and tempo" in his gut, seems to be working. Not sure we need to fix something that ain't broke. You feel me?

Offensive production slipped starting mid season of 2016. I'm really excited about the qb's we have coming up. Both run very, very well which gives us a added dimension. I think we might see a OC hire but it's up to NB

I know people hate the bubble screen but it has served us well I would be fine if people had enough common sense to realize all the other plays it opens up and sets up later in the game. Also when it’s blocked up correctly it’s very effective. I’m more of a fan of the tunnel screen though. Heck Tunnel, Bubble, mosquito or TV screeen I will take any of them that gains us an average of 4.5 yards or more per play!!!! Oh yeah I like sunscreens too!!

I know people hate the bubble screen but it has served us well Exactly ... it's part of the system. When Kenny first came back when NB was OC ... Kenny bought more of the power and "backdoor" option look (not only the read option for QB, but also using motion WRs in the option game) he'd been using at UNA for years. Check the numbers ... even during our 4 year drought ... it was rarely the offense that lost games. I admit I'm biased ... he is a teammate and friend ... but understand Kenny has a great reputation in the profession! Was mentioned for several jobs over the years ... turned down some to stay at Troy. I know it's tough for Kenny to leave Troy (if he does) ... but I know working with Steve and Greg again is a big deal. Also, as a couple have mentioned ... a great guy. When I volunteer coached for a small HS for a decade or so ... he was always gracious to meet with our offensive coaches and helps us anyway he could. Great football mind.

Too often we (players) are left standing and looking toward the coaches waiting. We are far more successful when we speed up the offense like Neil said we would to begin with but hasn’t happened except when we are behind and Time is running out. I think it’s because of all the multiple people in the offensive process! Just my opinion.

If you will remember the last time we went to the NOLA bowl ULL was making a run at KE.

I know people hate the bubble screen but it has served us well Most likely the bubble has been the third look , and out for the QB in our scheme. Faster receivers, precise routes and dependable hands ..... maybe less bubbles? On the other hand, the bubble has been a quick out for a lack of creativity and patience. Looking forward to offensive changes next year!!!

If Coach Edenfield leaves, is it possible that Tony Franklin could return as OC? Doubt that, he seems happy at MTSU...I think Matt Moore will get a sole role. But what do I know.
