Good hire for them. From what i have heard of him (away from this board) he will do a good job. Good way to follow up from Jones.

Hate to see that. Fact is he will probably get them bowl eligible every year. At least Coach Brown says he is staying at least one more year. We need to make sure he is the highest paid coach in the Sun Belt.

Sun Belt is improving all the way down the line. Lot of good coaches. The Guy from New Mexico State got them to their first bowl since 1960? Yes NMSU is leaving but still.

So what? Our guy is better. We will soon see Neal is better. You just don't want to admit it because you are "friends" with Campbell. Feel free to jump off the train now, because we can always find another to the spot.

We find out next season on the field. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't we lose to Joey Jones this year? I'm sure if we lose you will have the usual excuses. If Neal beats South next year then Neal is the better coach that season.

And Steve says:
"I was born and raised in this area, just down the road outside of Pensacola, and have always felt that if South Alabama started football it would be a gold mine, a place where the sky is the limit and you can definitely compete for championships at the highest level," said Campbell. "Coach Jones did a terrific job of getting the program started and laying a tremendous foundation. This is an opportunity to get back home and, more than that, to take what Joey has started and raise it to the next level and win some championships."

You can reply to Coach Steve: Sorry to disappoint there Coach Steve, the championship goes through Troy, we are back. Prepare to suck our backside. We will allow you to kiss the ring from time to time though.

No excuses needed when you get rings...except you and constant complaining. How much time and effort do you put in to finding things to complain about after back-to-back 10-win seasons and a Sun Belt title? Your google machine must be working overtime.

If Steve Campbell wants to play his Super Bowl in October thatβs up to him. Look what it got Joey.

GTG searches backpage for CNB and Troystet is still hung up on Steve after their brief fling sparked from the casual encounters section of Craigslist.

We won 10 games twice. I love it. It is great to be conference co-champs again. I just stated we find out on the field next year who the better coach is. I like Steve as a teamate, friend and as a coach. Will I root against him come the Troy game? Absolutely. Will I root for him when we don't play him? Yes. A rivalry doesn't cancel out 25 years of friendship and a players bond.
P.S. Since you brought up rings, you don't want to go there
