I see he is getting a raise in the $900k $1 mil range. We will have to pay similar money. I think Brown or Campbell are worth that.

I heard to day from a UAB player that the university is paying for all the players passports so they can play in the Bahamas bowl. He also told me the Bill Clark is using UAB as a stepping stone and doesn't see him staying past the 2018 season.

Here's the situation... If we want to keep winning, then we as fans need to keep buying. Buy season tickets... donate to the Trojan Warrior Fund. Pick up new gear on game day. Buy those flat cokes and cold hotdogs. Football aint free, nor is Freedom.

Can you imagine the first time Troy looked at the numbers after allowing beer sales? I can imagine there was a "Why didn't we do this sooner?" moment.

I always imagined the townies more like the cutters in the movie Breaking Away....those guys drank beer, chased girls and rode bikes.

Only 34 college stadiums sell beer during football games. Only 23 of these stadiums are on campus. I guess Troy showed these Baptist heathens who’s boss around here.

I see he is getting a raise in the $900k $1 mil range. From al.com: "Clark's compensation jumps up to $900,000 and will escalate to $1,015,000 over the course of an extension that goes through the 2022 season. The deal makes Clark one of the top five paid coaches in Conference USA with UTSA's Frank Wilson topping the list at $1.137 million annually. Before the extension, Clark had a base salary of $605,000 on a contract that ran through June 1, 2020 and was the ninth-highest paid coach in the conference." Just for reference, Neal Brown is the 2nd highest paid coach in the SBC at $800k, with ULL's Hudspeth #1 at $1.15m, according to USA Today.

AND TROY is building Coach Brown the North End Zone Facility that he wants (part of his agreement). It's not all about the paycheck. South Alabama and UAB are both focused primarily on their medical programs. I'm not sure if either will ever have an on campus stadium. Surf Report:
The first tiny signs of the new swell are apparent on Pensacola Beach. The waves should build today, but may not be Surfable until tomorrow morning. The Waterboyz Winter Classic is on for Sunday. The wind is currently North Northeast at 5-10 mph and the temperature is a chili 55 F. The tide was high at 2:22am and will be low at 1:54 pm. The water temp is 72 – 74 F.

Disagree with South on their on campus stadium. It’s in the beginning stages. UAB, agree. They have space issues.

True, PensacolaKid. UAB brought back the football program, built a new practice facility and football operations building for Clark before his raise. We're cautiously optimistic about the new stadium coming to Uptown & starting construction in 2018.

Started September 10, 2005. First time they played in our new stadium. If they sneak a peek after the North end zone project is complete the rumor will be a 150,000 seat domed stadium making Mercedes-Benz in Atlanta look like the Kibbie Dome.

That is a nice area with new restaurants and such. I'd come up to watch Troy put a beating on UAB.

So this is a proposed stadium to be funded by Jefferson County, the BJCC and the city of Birmingham to be built for the city of Birmingham. UAs B team hopes to play football here. Will UAB, at a minimum, contribute to a quality tarp, perhaps with painted scenes of cheering fans, to cover the empty seats?
