You guys are out of your ever-lovin' minds! LB's recruits? Are you serious?! Of the starters on offense, 3 were part of a recruiting class before Neal Brown--Silvers, Chunn, and Thompson. Coach Brown brought our program back from the ashes! We are 7-2 and going bowling...again! We are in contention to win the Belt...again. It's a great time to be a Troy Trojan!

I think the reference was to our qb and running backs. Silvers, Chun, Anderson are all prior staff recruits. Not sure we have recruited a RB that will replace those two. Both are big physical backs and leaders. Henderson is talented but he is a head case and that can poison a team. I think we are going to be better off at qb next year though and if we can replace the rb's. As far as last year only one OL was technically a NB recruit. Rowzee was a juco signee and Cromrite had signed with UAB and transfered after they dropped football. Garcia, Fields, Lassiter, Boring were all LB and Schlarman recruits

Without VK we are 1-8. Our offense is a joke and we are in serious trouble next season. I have never been a fan of Silvers because I just don't think he's a passer. We run the ball very effectively but we are losing both Chun and Anderson next year and Henderson by all accounts has head problems. We have not been the same offensive team since mid season last year. We have serious trouble throwing the ball down field. We are an air raid offense that's barely throwing for 200 yards a game and we're averaging 6 yards a completion Last time I checked CNB hired Vic. Good call, Coach. Our offense is inconsistent. Players not making assignments, not executing well, dropped passes. Receivers not able to get separation on routes. Our opponents know our schemes and have prepared well. We have a target on our backs now. But we find a way to win. We've come along way in three shorts years. So defense playing well is VK but offense stinking is all players?

Listened to people here blaming player execution and not coaching for five years of awful defense and along comes VK and he gets these same players to execute. So is it coaching or not? Players have to execute for sure but sometimes that lack of execution is coaching also

This is message board, where fans come and discuss, state, rant, give thoughts, etc. Don’t mimic the blind, deaf, crippled, lead-infested rooster in your Pike Country backyard that doesn’t have a clue. Not sure why the Rowell Apologist Club thinks everyone should come on here and believe and post the same message: “awww shucks, we tried our best, everything is ok”

When trying your best equals winning the ball game, everything is ok.
When you are staring down the barrel of back-to-back 10-win seasons, what is there to complain about? I just don't understand how some of you can be so upset with the current state of troy football. Yes, there are things that can be improved on, but that can be said for any team in the nation.
Instead of making yourself sick over the details of every play, take a step back and enjoy the ride.
Some of y'all can't see the ocean because you are too busy complaining about the sand.

University of South Alabama and Arkansas State University are the reasons why I am concerned. We better be a complete team when we travel to play stAte. 10 win seasons are great but championships are better.

Since the beginning of 2016, 14 FBS teams have at least 17 wins.
South Florida
| Virginia Tech
| Clemson | Penn State
| Ohio State
| Wisconsin | Oklahoma | Oklahoma State
| Western Michigan
| Toledo
| San Diego State
| USC | Alabama | Troy |
Read in to that list what you wish, but I'd say things are much better than many of you are letting on.

See how easy it is contributing to the message board. Some may agree, some may disagree, some may say so what ?, some may say take it down to 16 wins and what does that tell ya ?, some may say in respond that our offensive play calling and scheme still suck chicken balls and if it wasn’t for the defense we would only have 12 wins since 2016, etc. etc. Regardless, way to contribute!

Unacceptable! Fire everyone. Mediocrity. I once won 72 games in a row on Tecmo Bowl.

For someone that "cheers that will be victorious," you sure do love to talk about losing. It must be killing you to see the program so successful over the last couple of seasons.

We are painful to watch sometimes ... especially at home ... but I much prefer being painful to watch and 7-2 ... rather than 2-7!! Ask Coach Petrino if he'd swap with us! The team (players/coaches) have found a way to win ... or avoid losing ... 7 of 9 games. Win is a Win is a Win! Go Trojans!!

I watched the game from the comfort of my Lovesac (google it and buy the supersac for your wife for Christmas). I am extremely happy about the state of our football program, but I was disappointed in the play of our QB. I think the Idaho QB has a better chance of playing in the NFL. It is almost like on televised weeknight games our QB gets nervous and either throws the ball too hard or overthrows. He was better before someone anointed him as a NFL prospect. I hope that CNB can mentor him and bring him back to the excellent play that he had in prior years. I was even yelling at the TV to run the ball. The funny thing is that as I was complaining, my UF alumni husband was talking about how he wished that UF would call the plays that Troy was calling and how we should be happy with our QB. My how times have changed!!!

As a season ticket holder. I'm just curious... do you not want Neal Brown as head coach any more? I do want Neal Brown as coach for many reasons. I think that he is still adjusting to the role of head ball coach. Most of the time when a coordinator becomes a head coach it is hard for them to give up control of the squad that they coached as a coordinator. Coach Brown takes 100% responsibility for everything Troy football and that is an impossibility for anyone no matter who they are. I think he needs to loosen control of the offense and let Coach Edenfield loose. I think that Coach Brown realizes that after this season there will be no Chunn and Anderson and that we are going to have to play air raid ball. This season however, we still have the "power personnel" for Blakeney's offensive vision and we should play that way. Our most successful drives are when we line up and hammer people. Let Chunn be Chunn and let's power through the rest of the schedule.
