What’s wrong with watching games being played PRIOR to our game. Every tailgate does it. That’s the beauty of game day. You can only stand and talk or eat so long. As long as they go to the game, I’m good with watching whatever game you like! When tailgating watch whatever you want. The only problem I've ever had with this is in the stadium club the few times I've been in there. I remember while TROY was on the field playing many were watching one of those state SEC schools on TV. Poor form in my opinion. If you are at a TROY game watch the Men of TROY battle. That's one of the reasons I will probably never do the stadium club. That and being fussed at for standing and cheering. I'll stay in 207. Now I ABSOLUTELY AGREE that when the Troy game kicks off ALL TV’s in the stadium club ought to be on TROY ONLY. That’s easy to understand and it floors me that we don’t follow that protocol up there!

I’m sure when Redwaver and Troystet played at Troy they never envisioned Troy playing FBS, with a 30,000 seat stadium, a multi million dollar end zone facility, and 4 to 5 or more games on TV every year. Don’t sell this program short of what the future holds. Absolutely correct! I told Troyset in a debate that our era players would never have believed we would have uniforms, equipment and facilities that had like he had and have since been declared as unfit for today’s athletes. We played in an era when we won the conference championship 3 our if 4 years in baseball and the AD refused to send us to the regionals because it cost $3,000.00! An era where we ride a bus to a game to North Alabama and came home after the game in the same bus. Yep, it’s a different time and one I constantly pinch myself to see if I’m dreaming even with the occasional disappointments we occasionally self inflict. Not only can we say “ it could be worse”, many of us lived through a time when IT WAS WORSE......MUCH WORSE! “We’ve come a looooooooog was baby”! Go Trojans! Did you also walk five miles to school, barefoot through the snow? A bus to North Alabama? I thought in your day (pre-forward psss and leather helmets) you had to take the train or stage coach lol

I am sorry it should NOT be protocol on all the TV's there should be one small say 10x10 screen in a crowded corner for those who will tire of not being able to see it, hear it and of course that way we exemplify how we are not scared of other interests. Yep that should be the protocol and do they still make black and white TVs?

I don't care what school you are talking about, you should be at a game to watch the home or away team. Too many of our alums have no respect for the alma mater. Talking about those I've seen for years in the RV's watching Alabama and Auburn games on the TV. That is the equivalent of giving us the middle finger in my opinion. You think Alabama or Auburn would accept it the other way around? I work at the Auburn games. The management at the football games even says if you mention another school at game time you are fired. I can only imagine what would be said to someone watching a Troy game in the community gardens parking lot up here. Probably be laughed out of town or cussed out by a bunch of drunks. We treat it as if it's ok and try to dream of being a power 5 school? It wouldn't be acceptable if we were playing Faulkner in an NAIA game here. I don't care if they grew up Auburn or Alabama fans either, take your RV's and head up 231 and don't come back! How many "degree holders only" do those two schools have? Not many. I get funny looks here in Auburn when I'm wearing my Troy ball cap. It was bad enough when the students at Troy used to act that way , bet more than a few still do. Like I said I'm probably the only Troy alum that grew up a die hard Emory and Henry fan because my dad is an alum. I wouldn't dream of ever wearing Emory and Henry gear at Troy. I keep that to the appropriate time. We need a campaign of "Auburn and Alabama eradication" on the campus.

UF can't expand enrollment and the state keeps getting bigger. Right now you have two options to attend UF: be an athlete and meet min NCAA requirements 2) be a regular student that will require a min 4.0 GPA and min 1150 SAT. My son graduate with a unweighted 3.85 GPA in AP classes and a 27 ACT and was told to not bother applying you won't get in. So that leaves thousands of students forced to attend UCF, USF, UNF, FAU, FIU all wanting to be Gators.

Be glad to have your son attend Troy. I am glad I didn't go the SEC route and get lost in the crowd. Dr Hawkins says as much as well. I felt at home at Troy since I first set foot on the campus. Never felt like a number here that means a heck of a lot

Never felt like a number here that means a heck of a lot My son went first year to Troy but it wasn't for him and he graduated from UCF and has a tremendous job in Orlando. My daughter earned the millennium scholarship and graduated this past May from Troy with a Biomedical Science degree
