I've heard this five times now. Same story. We didn't play well, we weren't prepared, we need to evaluate ourselves, coaches and players need to etc, etc.
We're halfway into the season and we have the same problems we had in game one. College teams are supposed to get better each game not stay the same or get worse. We've only played one complete game this year.
We just had another embarrassing loss on National TV. We've only played two good games since Appalachian State of last year.
And, by the way, we're a division one college team. Get a kicker! period!

Pretty soon we will be hearing " we got taken to the woodshed". Excuses, excuses.

Soak it all in. This is what failure feels like. This is what LSU and Coach Orgeron felt two weeks ago. You know what though? We are a much bigger laughing stock than LSU. We are the worst team in all of football. You cannot beat a giant and then lose to a 1-5 team full of 1 star players at home in front of a full stadium when YOU ARE THE ONLY GAME AMERICA IS WATCHING! Shame!

CNB statements are perplexing. On one hand he says multiple times this season we are not playing well and changes need to made but run the same simple plays and bubble screens, make no personnel changes, keeps listening to the same garage from the O coaches.
Coach, you said when you were doing all the national TV and press spots you said we weren’t playing good. Why aren’t you doing anything different to change this ? Saying you will make changes is easy, actually doing them seems hard for you.
Also you said that this had nothing to do with the LSU hangover that all credit belonged to South. Is that is true how bad are we ? We just lost to a one win team, whose only win was to a glorified high school team, who has fired their OC, whose coach was on the brink of being fired, who lost their star running back during the game, all while doing this at home on national TV. Either you are not leaving in reality, you need some additional motivational skills or we are truly not a good team as you say.

You guys are right...its midway into the season and we are still hearing we havent played our best football...last year they started off playing their best in week 1 and didnt let up until Arkansas st beat us. Its basically the same team from last year minus a couple of people...gesh we returned of 98% of our offense...i tell you what i miss ryan kay for sure! The play calling is terrible it has been since week 1 thats the reason why they're only scoring in the low 20's...lets take a look back when troy had those losing seasons before brown became head coach...uhhhh the offense was pretty good and putting up points and yards but the defense just sucked...and edenfield was calling the plays..CNB needs to let the play calling go and just b the head coach because that high school play calling he his doing is not working and after every loss its the same excuse. If a player isnt doing his job take him out! We have 2 other freshman kicker at this point give them a chance..i mean cant be any worse than what we got...but i remember looking at that kids highlight film he looked pretty good...he doesnt have a strong leg at all and his kicks are never even close to making it! What needs to be done is better play calling...surely we have better plays than screens...really its getting kinda old

Saw CLB in the concourse last night during the 4th quarter, which was a neat trick since he had obviously been on the sideline calling plays all game long. Bubble screens, run up the gut, quick slants, repeat. Felt like it was the old days. Plus side? No one is coming to steal CNB away any time soon.
In all honesty, I'm proud of the fans who, for the most part, stuck around and made noise until 00:00. I thought the defense did as well as any of us could expect given the horrible positions we kept putting them in.
Alas, I've eaten my crow this morning for breakfast, taken a couple tums, and started to get myself emotionally prepared for the trip to Atlanta.

The biggest disappointment for me last night was the lack of an apparent offensive game plan, the absurdity of the play calling, going for it on 4th and 11 with a forced pass over the middle, then the same dang pass play on a 4th and 2 and running across the endzone when we are on our own 1 yard line. We have to be the slowest paced spread offense in the country. They made zero changes at halftime, zero......We lost to Boise because their coaches saw they needed to make a change at QB and spread the run to the corners....We make no changes then or last night.....Neal doesnt do changes. This loss last night, is on the players but in my opinion rest more on the coaches.

Fourth and one go in the gun and run the biggest excuse for a option play I've ever seen

Using words to describe what I witnessed last night is almost impossible. No energy, unprepared, etc... The milestone win in Baton Rouge that our program needed to continue to develop The Troy brand was erased by an embarrassing on field performance to a really bad football team on national television!! We keep hearing from coaches and players that the LSU win in a way isnt important in the “grand scheme” of season/conference play. Well, to win the conference, NO !!! , but to grow a program, YES !!!!!!! Winning our conference is very important , but in order to take our team to the next level these wins are paramount!! Again, that win was virtually negated by the sickening, pathetic, horrible on field play last night. It will effect recruiting, fan support, etc .. the list goes on and on !!!! The post game interviews with the players also is very disheartening. This continuing reason of “we didnt execute” although true, is just UNACCEPTABLE!!! We keep hearing about we still have six games left and we have to get better, although true, but again unacceptable attitudes to have. The loss last night was a season/ program killer !!
I am definitely not a college football coach and i dont have answers for these issues but i think we can all agree changes HAVE TO BE MADE!!!!!
I am a Troy native and a Troy graduate!! I will always be a Trojan !! I truly hope these players and coaches will evaluate this situation and make the necessary changes to salvage whats left of the season. Games like last night are tough pills to swollow!!!

What I don't understand is... why does Troy run such a beautiful offense when they're trying to hurry up with two minutes left in a game, versus looking ugly on offense when they're taking their time?
If Troy is down by 3 points in the last two minutes of every game from here on out, they'll probably win every game.

One time last night players were screaming yo get a play in but they had to just stand there and wait. This NASCAR offense has a blown engine and is spewing oil all over the field!

Coach NB calls on all fans to show up at the Vet on 10/11/17 on social media but forgets to tell the team or himself. Oh I forgot it not against a P5 program.

The recievers need to earn those pretty gloves they are wearing or dip them in stick-um. Troy won a lot of games, National Championships and Conference Championships with literally a home jersey and white away jersey. All those combos don't make you play any better or worse

I Kidd you not. Robert Earl Stewart was so tight you could put a lump of coal up his rear and in a hour have a diamond

I wonder if they spent those 10 days they had to prepare for USA looking at themselves in the mirror with those new helmets. Now they have some blood stains to go with that pretty head gear where South dirt stomped them in the face Rant over. Time for the next game against another bottom feeder

If Troy is down by 3 points in the last two minutes of every game from here on out, they'll probably win every game. The reason our two minute offense works when we’re behind is the same reason LSU was able to score on us the last half of the 4th quarter. Defense is trying to avoid giving up the quick score, so underneath routes are open. USA didn’t mind giving us that late touchdown as long as it took time off the clock. Defenses change in the 4th quarter as you start playing the odds.
