Over the course of the first four games we, me included, have been extremely frustrated with the play of our left tackle Steven Rowzee. The numerous penalties resulting from an apparent lack of discipline on his part have driven us bonkers. We have been very vocal in our criticism and I think if we are going to do that, then we need to acknowledge a job well done. Below is an excerpt from a Dothan Eagle article that discusses the offensive line play against LSU. Numbers like that point to a big night for the offensive line. Nobody had a bigger night than left tackle Steven Rowzee. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound senior from Chicago Heights, Ill., had the line’s highest grade, its most production points and added a team-best six knockdown blocks against the Tigers.“He has played extremely hard,” Brown said. “One of the core things we talk about is it all matters. If you do right good things are eventually going to happen. He has played his tail off. He has done everything that we asked him to do.”We all want to see improvement where needed and maturation on the part of the players. That's what we saw in Mr. Rowzee's play against LSU. Kudos to Coach Moore and his staff and recognition for a job well done to Mr. Rowzee - good job, young man. Finally, below is the link to the full article. It's worth the time it takes to read it. www.dothaneagle.com/sports/troy/rowzee-offensive-line-powered-troy-in-win-over-lsu/article_40a46c74-abb9-11e7-8ac3-dfed93728bc3.html

I was told by a former lineman that this group was better than last years group, they just lacked experience. I firmly believe what he told me.

I was told by a former lineman that this group was better than last years group, they just lacked experience. I firmly believe what he told me. Well they made their case against LSU. They pushed the LSU front off the ball as a unit. On the LSU boards today they were discussing that we would have rolled over Florida and that we really did play big boy SEC football. I like that we can go air raid and line up and win physically. I think this team has the potential to give us lot of joy this season.
