I accepted a position with a new company which brought me to Dublin OH just outside of Columbus OH for training. I flew out of Pensacola today with my normal flying attire of a TROY t-shirt matched with one of my TROY hats. I made a couple of stops as I was heading out of south Alabama to Pensacola. First my wife's work where a couple of the guys were congratulatory and complimentary of our game play. Second, a stop at a gas station where nothing was said but you could feel the patrons and attendants recognition of the TROY Power T on my chest and hat. I made my way through Pensacola airport without much recognition but I was late and made it to my gate just in time to go right onto the plane as my boarding zone was called upon arriving at my departure gate. Walking down the aisle of the plane again the feeling of many eyes knowing who TROY is and what we just accomplished. But to my surprise nothing said. Got Atlanta and as I walked out of the jet bridge a voice echoed from my right, "Go TROJANS!!!" To which I stopped turned to see who my fellow Trojan could be. I saw a smiling face and walked over to chat and gave a hardy "Go TROJANS!!!" in return. This gentleman who greeted me is a parent of one of our soccer players. We had a brief conversation about the victory and his daughter. Many eyes and ears attentive to our robust conversation of TROY. Walking down the terminal to my departure gate I heard a voice to my left, "Congratulations on your big victory this weekend. I'm a Texas Tech fan and I watched the game. Troy played a great game." I thanked him and carried on after a brief conversation. Upon arrival at the hotel where I will lodged for my stay in the greater Columbus area, the hotel manager on duty asked, "Is that TROY?" I confirmed his suspicion. To which he replied, "Great win! You guys deserved that win after being so close so many times." Turns out he's a huge college sports fan and a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and loves DWare. We talked about former TROY players and about the current status of the TROY football program and how it is continuing to rise.
After the frustration I felt yesterday with pundits and radio talking heads, today those feelings are replaced with a refreshing sense that many out there recognize TROY not as the beneficiary of LSU's demise but rather as a quality program.
And to get a loud "Go TROJANS!!!" absolutely made my day.
Go TROJANS!!! Cry HAVOC!!!

My lady had an appointment today and a nurse kept staring at me and said she didn't like my shirt...one of the other patients said, "She doesn't like anything that's not LSU." He proceeded to say he liked my shirt as the nurse was pretending to choke him...

I've started greeting people with ONE TROY. I like Go TROJANS of course but the university has adopted ONETROY so true trojans will know.
#ONETROY

But I'm not sure it will ever take off. ONETROY is more likely to take off first as it has ready gained traction with the ONETROY campaign.

ONE TROY seems more about the college and not football. Just seems GrAY, to me, or maybe just a slogan to embellish one's resume.

I avoided the resident LSU fan at work today. I predicted the win to him on Friday and he laughed. He's bigger than me and knows kung fu.

That's so good!! I was in mobile last night for work and had my Trojan shirt rocking! Got all kinds of high fives walking down dauphin street on my way to dinner! Felt freaking great!!! I will be in New Haven CT next week for work and can't wait to watch our South game bellied up to my favorite tequila bar ( Geronimo's ) on the east coast and watch my Trojans dressed out tip to tail!
Cry Havoc!

I dropped a Cry Havoc on a dude wearing a Troy hat and it felt funny. I said it and he said.. "Troy? Hey that game was great." I like the One Troy and I will drop it next time and see what happens.

I avoided the resident LSU fan at work today. I predicted the win to him on Friday and he laughed. He's bigger than me and knows kung fu. There's an old joke about a little guy that got whipped 3 times by a guy who "knew" kung fu (from China), judo (from Korea), and karate (from Japan) with each successive beating. The little guy finally came back with a crow bar, planted it on the bully's head and said, that's a crow bar from Sears and Roebuck. Just offering that info in case you might need it.

I like Go TROY and Cry HAVOC! as greetings between fans. The problem, at least for the immediate future, with Cry HAVOC! is that the only people who will have a clue what you're referring to are people who go to games or read this message board. That won't keep me from using it, but I don't know how many times I've had to explain my car tags (1HAVOC and 2HAVOC) since February and I live in Dothan, in essentially the shadow of the stadium.

Sorry to be a downer but, OneTroy is a rally slogan? It's very academic and good for the collegiate bookish stuff and a great core value but....it is no rally slogan. Go Dawgs, War Eagle, Roll Tide, Geaux Tigers, Hook 'em Horns and........ One Troy...... Nope. I'm not sure how I would even respond if someone hollered "One Troy" my direction. I guess I would look at them kinda quizzically and say, "Ummm,,,,,,Two? Troy???" Go Troy, Go Trojans, or Cry Havoc for me, please.

Is good for a motto but not a war chant...it ranks up there with screaming " Go guys now try real hard!! " and the always inspiring " yeah yeah, go! Yeah yeah! Hard
