This isn't going to be a push over game. They lost by 6 to Arizona St and beat New Mexico. They are good offensively. What a change from past years where we worried if we could score enough to overcome our defense. Now I'm worried our D can't overcome our offense. This game will be a measure for the rest of the season. Hope our O clicks. We put up stats against a lousy team Sat, now its time to start playing Troy ball

Ya, this game worries me.
This O reminds me of the Fleetwood days, except with different strategy.

NMSU is probably playing better football than every team in the SBC not named AState. If you think that T Rogers & Co are not licking their collective chops on their way out of this conference, then you're brain-dead...We'll need some stellar defense again to come out with the W.
They're getting ready...we'll need our team to match, then to exceed their intensity.

Will the team be able to practice Monday and Tuesday with the weather? Troy has already canceled classes and activities, I thought? May be wrong there

Hopefully NB has JM revisit the IPF idea for reasons such as this...should only be wind and rain, but this will be a very important game for both teams. Troy can't afford any days off either. I'm sure Trojan Arena will be used, but the IPF is needed as well.

I saw #50 was hobbled. Hope we can get him back ... he's force as a pass rusher! We will need to put pressure on this QB!

DT is just plain overall worried. Going to be a tuff one. D has to remain strong. Still happy with the W Saturday.

This is an incredibly important game! It is, without a doubt, the MOST IMPORTANT game we have played to date! This team has played extremely well on offense both of their first two games. While the competition hasn't been great, it is against a P-5, Az St and in-state rivalry, NM. Our defense has played really well, and haven't seen an offense like this, yet. Our offense has to get much, much better. We saw some of that, but we have to STEP UP this week!
We have to travel all the way to East New Mexico. That's another long flight which will be Friday again and then a walk through probably the next morning and then play at 7 our time. I hope that we've learned from our first trip out west how to prepare for the game, which starts in the film room and then taking it to the field and practice what you learned.
I don't know what the weather like is today Monday but I believe that we will probably miss at least one day of practice if not two and that does concern me. I really think the Coach Brown and staff have to continue to emphasize laser focus and preparation. I don't think Neal is anywhere near satisfied with his offense yet. He stated after the Boise game that even this week coming up, meaning Alabama State, that he was going to get over the offensive woes. If he sticks to that and I fully believe he will, then we will be continuing to hone our skills this week wherever that is the gym, the practice field, the corridors, the 4th floor Press Box, somewhere.
HAVOC!

HAVOC! Boise State had a lot better offense than NM State has. Our defense will put pressure on them all night, Coach Vic will have them ready. Our offense has improved from that Boise State game, Saturday night showed that. I will agree that NM looks better than last season but I believe they have not seen a defense like Troy Trojans and with our improved offense, we win big

Something I picked up on weeks ago. Coach Brown has been saying how the last two seasons vs NMSU, the score was very misleading. Said they are much better than they seemed in those games. I've just started looking into their 2017 version and yes, they are terrifying and our QB has yet to throw a TD this season. The aggravating thing is that national perception (especially local perception) is that "it's NMSU, they suck, Troy will win this one easily". Anything less than a double digit win will be laughed at by the locals, yet all of us understand how tough a win would actually be.

Hmmm, it's almost like we warming up our excuses for a loss pre-game. All games are tough, its football. If we want to reach the next level as a fanbase and a program we should expect, demand and try our damnest to promote and execute that we are going smash these peckerwoods into the dirt and chew off their faces for dessert. Grow a pair pussycats.
