I don't know if this has been talked about but that is going to be nice. Good for them to use the Turner field site. Lots of history at that site. Just think if you are a baseball player and you hit a bomb over the left field wall where Hank Aaron did. stadium.gsu.edu/Hank hit his home runs in Fulton Co Stadium but I get your point!

Going to be a lot of empty seats Georgia St could play at Zion Chapel and there would be a lot of empty seats.

The renderings on the website have them converting the old Fulton County stadium that is curently a parking lot into their baseball field. The 715 sign in left center is going to remain.

The football stadium is going to be a pretty sweet thing when they get it all done.
For any Troy folks making the trip this year, the Ramada Plaza is on top of the hill less than 1/4 mile from the stadium. Pretty decent place. Also, the Bull Pen BBQ Shack is located just outside what was the third base stands. Good place to meet, eat and libate.

We made that mistake last year and it was not good, at all. Stay downtown or at the airport. We are looking forward to the trip.

I agree, we normally stay out at Stone Mountain or go to the North Georgia mountains to stay for this game. I will let everyone know that it IS Georgia Tech's Homecoming that day so rooms are either limited or expensive! For those coming down I-85 from the Carolinas, we have made reservations outside the perimeter at Comfort Inn & Suites in Peachtree Corners. Duluth Diner will be where we have Sunday brunch before heading home. Whatever happened to NewnanTrojan? I would think he could give some suggestions around Newnan and Peachtree City for those fans coming up I - 85 from Alabama.

I stayed at the Ramada on top of the hill numerous times, and have never had an issue.
The two hotels directly adjacent to the home plate gate of the stadium are no-gos for me.

One of my teammates son signed with Georgia St. He posted the video of their locker room at the new stadium. Really nice but won't be in the ball park of what our new one will be. Still don't think they will draw that well competing against GA Tech. I'm not sure they outdraw Clark or Morris Brown

Hampton Inn etc, great restaurants nearby. Georgia Shrimp company comes to mind. We jump up to the Atlanta Airport MARTA, take the train into town.. no High $$ parking.
